In 1700 England, Scotland and Ireland were separate countries so this is what this mod does, make them separate countries.

1.Download the attached file
2.Extract
3.Starpos.esf goes to [...]\empire total war\data\campaigns\DMUC_Cmain
4.The other two files goes to [...]\empire total war\data\
5.Add "mod EnglishFlag.pack;" (without the " ") to the top of the script of the custom campaign
6.Now just start Start a custom campaign

Ireland was not really independent (I am Irish so I know). There was a separate Irish Parliament until 1801, but the 80% of the population who were Catholics were not allowed to vote for it before 1795 or sit in it (at all). Also, under Poynings Law, the English Parliament (and later the British Parliament) had precedence over the Irish Parliament until it was repealed in 1782. In that context, having Ireland as an independent faction is something i disagree with.

It wasn't like the Scottish Parliament which was independent of the English one.

So from what you're saying, having Ireland as an independent faction is like making American states different factions (since they get overruled by the federal government)? I think it's more like the situation with the Thirteen Colonies and Britain (British Parliament > Colonial Parliaments) so they should be a protectorate. But Ireland and England were in personal union since 1555 too. In ETW personal unions are represented with alliances.

Fortes, people might want to play with the EICs and Gb as one country, so I suggest you have two versions of EIC, one with this mod, one without.
AS with Ireland, what is said above is true.
To an extent it was also true with SCotland-england and scotland shared a monarch, and the english controlled most of Scotland already.

But Ireland was a confederation,like a Vassal of England. I would say Keep Ireland like it is but then again two versions would be nice.

Yes, I'll release other version after i finish my next East India Companies version.
The next version will have Ireland as British and some other minor updates as it's obvious I'll keep the already version for the ones that want to play Ireland

Two nights ago I was playing as the United provinces and wondering how cool it would be to see Ireland take over england and Scotland and rule the British isles. Tonight I stand with The isle's Malta and various parts of north Africa under the Irish flag. I thank you for your mod! Also I made Dublin rebel and took sides with the lower class to make my government a republic so London would quit revolting. I was wondering if I could get the Irish Republic flag somehow since my goverment is now the republic of Ireland. Thanks.

If you want the republic flag of Ireland you can use this mod, but it isn't compatible with mine one.
It is easy to make them compatible if you are interested i can explain you how.

No, act of Union 1707, the monarchies merged a lot early that the kingdoms did.

Oh well I guess! Thanks for the welcome, I have had a account for awhile just have not ever found something worth while to post! If anyone could help me on getting the Republics flag for Ireland I would greatly appreciate it!

It no longer works with 6.7 please update! EDIT: The flags show but Ireland and Scotland dont have territory.
