Thread: further reducing pop growth?

  1. #1

    Default further reducing pop growth?

i have disabled the pop growth bonus in install, however there still seems to be a problem no more than 30-40 turns in for campaigns like carthage, rome, seleucids ects..

is there a simple way to edit the script to maybe half or even 3/4 the pop growth?

i want to feel like ive "earned" i large or giant mega city, not burdened by it 100% of the time.

Does it really grow so fast? If you play with Huge unit scale it should not be that quick...

Anyway, if you check export_descr_buildings.txt you will see that each core building (governors villa, palace, etc) has a line

    population_growth_bonus bonus

    Edit that value.

thanks again, your support really makes this great mod alot better still.

but yes, i'd have most of my larger cities over 100000 by turn like 30 or so and garrisons were too pricey, and ya i use 200 stacks, but with only like 2 or 3 training cities occasionally being fed by stacks from surplus cities i have too much growth

    thanks again spartan
