Rule proposal: No non-TWC people

I propose we do not allow people who sign up here because of their friends telling them about the server to play on said server. This is a server for people who post on TWC because its TWC not because they want to play minecraft on our server. If we dont know these players and cant trust them they should not be allowed to play. What do you guys think? Also could ferrets please sticky this poll?

I do agree however what about the random people who have been in the server a while; Ryan has been there from before the town had more than two buildings and Crazed has been there quite a while to.

A member can join provided that they have had over 50 posts and have had an account for over 2 weeks.

Or else its much too vague.

-yes, there is a 20 person slot limit.
-Until either notch fixes the server, or the server is somehow sped up, I think 8-10 people is max that could be on at once without too much lag. (This is prior to the release of monsters, now it's a bit less)

Agreed, what are the rules regarding who is a TWCer? I'd up the limit further and make it a month of decent activity. 2 weeks and 50 posts is easy to do.

A chap called Xelios has been asking me (and others?) for the IP, which I have yet to give to him. This rule is pretty much passed, so I won't give him it.

I agree with Ferrets, actually. If you look at the new members thread, Akar gave the IP to a guy with 47 posts whose been here since March 2010. I don't regard him as a TWCer yet in 3 posts time he qualifies (though Akar ignored that).

Right, there's confusion kicking about as to this rule.

As such, I want to have it clarified. I suggest, as a rule of thumb for now:

To be regarded as a "TWCer" and thus qualify to play on this server, a person must have at least 200 posts.

Obviously, that doesn't take into account activity, but I can't think of any reasonable qualifier for that. Run on it using common sense: 200 posts in 6 months is ok activity, 200 posts in a year isn't.


That should work to keep out an influx of newbies for now. We need to agree on a solid rule though.
