C:\Program Files\The Creative Assembly\Rome - Total War\bi
after what i do
Ok, after taking sometime to uninstall and reinstall Ran No Jidai 1.0 onto the program folder of Rome? I get this error saying can't find the Rome tw: BI directory and their-fore won't start up?
Any answers and solutions?
Hi!
I`ve been downloaded. Looks cool! Thanks! Great work!
But just one question - how about to make strategy map like in first shogun. Just to return of spirit of the first shogun, also to make strategy map looks like more like Strategy Map (including principal of moverment on this map like in first shogun) and less like in heroes of the maight and magic.
This changing appliable (at least teoretically)?
@ Patriot, In your last post you said it worked, so I do not understand your question?
@Tony24, actually a good example ,when you look at The Patriot's post. This is how your Shogun2 folders should be as well.
to help you can you tell me the exact path your Rome Total War folder is in right now?
@Beast, to be honest I do not know if it is appiable but for now we made this campaign map because we like it more than:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Until now I think all other people agree because to my knowledge you are the first to bring it up.
The RTW map shows more life with glossary water, trees, wildlife and details actually. Which is why I think many prefer it over the Shogun I map.
In other words it should go into the BI Folder correct?
Well, I think I understand what Patriot is showing? However, I'm thinking it might have some to do with Alexander expansion?
Let me do some experiment for a bit to see what happens?
I might have to Uninstall Alexander total war then.
Ok, follow up?
After Uninstalling Alexander tw and installing Ran No Jidai,(following the steps), I get a error saying that it can't find the directory or location of the mod?
Any advice on this?
Oh, and its driving me crazy too.
It should go in the BI folder yes. BUT you get an .exe file which needs to look for the mod. And if that file is programmed wrong, then it will not find your game.
Which i why I asked if you could tell me the exact path your Rome -Total War folder is in
As for Alexander, there should be no conflicts to my knowledge, as long as you have Barbarian Invasion and the 1.6 patch.
the problem is when i start the game ther is a error message told me generic error
could not find aearal map 'setelment_roman_level_1'in data base thenwhat hapen and what i do ans sory wundai
Okay thanks for posting mate, I remember that error Could other RNJ members post here? I think Vermicious Knid and Radboud talked about this?
why uninstall? Hmmmm, mostly because it was too hard. I play other TWs on VH/VH but with RnJ even on easy I went broke within a dozen or so turns and no army except daimyo and built income producers like farms and trader. Also didn't like not being able to scroll in on battle map to see who was doing what. Still, I applaud your work, so thanks.
An .exe file which needs to look for the mod? How so? I thought after clicking on the Ran no Jidai install button and choosing the right directory, should install everything initially to the right spot. And yes, BI is patch to 1.6v.
And if you say that the file is programed wrong, then I have no clue what to do.
Further on I have the currently Rome total war and BI single disc software version, than the 4 disc version.

This is because we make the installation for you.
But everybody has a different computer.
That way WE can never know where your Rome Total War folder is.
Thats why you have to change it yourself, and we cannot.
And the explanation of this is in installation instructions. sorry but I cannot explain it better than it is written there.
About BI 1,6 ok that is good at least, so you don't have to worry about that.
tony24 (the patriot), the trick to getting it to run is playing with the 'shortcut path' and 'target' eg; i thought rnj was in the 'activision' folder then when i realised it was the Creative assembly folder i swapped paths around until I got the right combination. there's only a few possibilities. Like one of the guys said; everyone's computer's different.

Hey my battle map is very dark. How do I fix this? Thanks.
On this page you will find the solution.

If you download the entire fix (made by Kenny) will resolve many problems and will clarify the entire map:

I have posted a small presentation of the modification in the most famous Italian site of the series Total War, in the page that Prometheus had opened.
(Is at bottom of page).
