whats the obsession of japanese colture with flowers?
we can see it in almost everything. thier clothes,paintings,decoration. and so on...

The chrysanthemum is the Emperor's symbol so you'll see that all over the place espcially in historical text, the cherry blossum "sakura" is part of Japanese culture, and hey, Japan loves the "kawaii" (cute) culture!

It is one of the beautiful things about their culture isn't it, also the way how they combine beauty with war and bloodshed, in a way it has a certain elegance to it. Even if westerners of that time called it barbaric.

Westerners of this time are more open minded.
They have more money so it is easier to explore other cultures and bring that knowledge with them from holidays etcetera. Certainly compared to westerners in 1540.
Is it not always necessary to understand something to have respect for it
