    Default Sound problem

So, a friend of mine (Swedish one, if this makes any difference) has got a problem with ETW sound. In the intro movies and in-game ones his sound stutters and lags. He played with the sound settings in-game with no result, however, the lag appears only in ETW, not in other games. His computer is new, so I think his driver might be up to date, too. Have you got any idea of what may be causing this and how to fix it? Thx.

It seems to cross all languages.
If your friend has more than one sound driver listed in Device Manager, disable or uninstall all but one preferably the onboard one.

Players have had known issues with the ones from AMD/ATI installed with the graphics drivers and RealTek drivers.

You may not if Microsoft does not install its generic ones.

You can try searching around www.realtek.com.tw and see what they have in the FAQs, drivers, codecs, etc.

You can open up the RealTek settings and see if there might be a combination in there, too.
