Welcome all to my first little mod work ever
I think all Rome Players know the hassle when they click on one of their precious Legions and then wondering which one it is without opening the unit_descr_card.
As this was really disturbing me I decided to put up a solution to this tiny but constant annoying confusion. Players can now identify the 28 Legions in the moment they click on a stack using the original improved RSII Unit ID Slotcards.
I add a few screens to get you an idea.
So when selecting his Legion the player see the Legion Number in Yellow in the bottom right corner of the ID card in the unit slot and in the upper right corner the Legions Name abbreviation consisting of the first 3 Letters of the Legions Name.
Aug.=Augusta, Gem.=Gemina, His.=Hispania and so on....
As there is more than 1 Legion with the same number the abbreviations will keep you on track.
There are two Legions wearing a IIII instead of IV but for better legibility I used IV.
Players will not wonder any longer which Legion they are currently moving around and it now gives
the Legions the unique touch which could not be aprreciated properly unitl now as it was rather difficult or impossible for the player to identify the Legions just because of their appearance in the units slots.
Install: Copypaste or Unzip the unit tgas to their belonging folders and overwrite the existing ones
Backup your original files just in case
1. The tgas from the Mercs folder go to
Activision/ Rome Total War/ Data/ UI/ UNITS/ MERCS
2. The tgas from the Romans_Brutii folder go to
Activision/ Rome Total War/ Data/ UI/ UNITS/ ROMANS_BRUTII
Dont worry about the Mercs Folder...the devs put about half of the Legions tgas in that folder...so relax...everythings ok...
This works for both 0 and 1 Turn.
100% savegame compatible --- just copypaste and go - no more confusion as it works for your actual Campaign...
