Default Basic - Photoshop time savers

    Photoshop time savers

    Hi all
    First of all, I know this is pretty basic, so most of you probably already know it, but anyway, someone might find it usefull;
Here's a few quick tips for all of you to save alot of time in Photoshop:

    Zoom:
Instead of picking the Zoom Tool everytime you want to zoom in or out, simply hold down the ALT key, and scroll in or out on the mouse.
Another tip to scroll to both sides, instead of going down to the scroll bar, is just to hold down the CTRL key, and scroll up or down.

    Brush size:
Instead of right clicking, and choose the size of the brush; you can simply press and hold the ALT key, then hold down the right mouse key, and then move the mouse right or left. You will see a red circle, and it will eventually become bigger or smaller as you move the mouse. When the red circle reaches the size you want; release the right mouse key.

    Colour choice:
Instead of going to the eyedropper tool (colour selection tool) and choose you colour; Instead (when you have selected the brush or paint bucket tool) you can simply press and hold ALT, then the eyedropper tool automaticly comes up and dissapear, when you release ALT

    Black and white:
Instead of going to colours, and choose black and white as for- and background coloures, you can simply press the "D" button, and then the colours automaticly swaps to black and white

    Quick colour swaps:
If you quickly want to swap you forground colour with you background colour; simply press the "X" button, then the colours swaps

    Move Around tool
To move fast around; hold down the spacebar, and you'll see a white hand. Left click, and move around.

    Layer Select
Instead of choosing the layer on the right panel, grap the tool in the top (move around tool? It's shaped like your mouse) and then, you can hold down CTRL button; and click on the the part of the pic that is a different layer, then It'll go to that layer on the right panel. This is very usefull when you are working with a alot of layers, that you don't know where to find etc.

    Select'copy'close'n'paste
When you need an image opened and copied to another photo, you can quickly do it with this method:
First open the picture (ofcourse) then press ctrl+A (selecting the whole picture) ctrl+C (copying the picture) ctrl+W (closing the picture) and ctrl+V ( pasting the pic, when you're on the piture you want it copied to) This'll take about three seconds when you'll get the hang of it

Nice list, the spacebar is also a very important time saver for moving around.
