editing how do i do it

its been over a year since iv done empire editing and cant remember how to unpack game files so i can editing them its a noob question i know but i forgot iv lookd around internet and cant find an answer all i want to edit it turns so game last longer and unlock all nations at start i did it over a year ago and cant remember for the life of me

Pack File Manager (for your general packing-up of mods and extracting things to edit)
Database Editor (editing stuff like unit stats and buildings, goes into a .pack file)
ESF Editor (editing the campaign map, like starting buildings and region ownership... in startpos.esf; .esf files don't go in .pack files)

First of all, it's better to use the edit button if you want to say something else, but no one's replied yet. I don't mind (it helps your post count after all ) but some people do.

Anyway, you don't need to make a bat file to do anything. Just use the PFM, open the .pack file you want to extract from, right-click on what you want to extract, and click extract.
