May I suggest that units gain a little experience per month? In real, soldiers train and get more experience.
It is pretty strange to have a 1-year-old recruit-level army!!
Maybe you can do something on this!!![]()

I was having a similar problem with not being able to recruit troops from London as GB (Big Problem). I was hand entering the scripts in the corret order as well. I don't know why this worked, but when I booted the game using mod manager and rearranged the scripts to the right order the problem went away. Good Luck let me know how it goes.
Can you advise how to remove the marines until they are working correctly? I have tried simply removing them with PFM but game CTDs without those files in place. Thanks.
its hard to explain if its ok i can upload the fix?
:Edit Fix added its a mod file so activate With Mod Manager or User Script

Anyone else also thinks that the sabre textures of most cavalry units look too bright white? They're just so super shiny clean, it's somewhat unnatural, and it really hits the eye. (and I'm usually not hung up on details in textures)
The musket & bayonet textures for infantry are absolutely brilliant, btw!

Really loving the mod. Great work. I have two questions/requests.
1. Is it possible to increase the volume of the campaign music? I prefer it to be a bit louder.
2. At the risk of sounding like an uncultured ignorant American, is there a submod that changes the text titles of countries to English? For instance changing them to Russia and Austria instead of what they are now? Not a deal breaker but just wondering. Thanks.
Yes - I reverted to my Equipment mod.
On another note, I have played for a year with the French Artillery and National Guard mod I mentioned a while back (limited production facilities, simplified artillery roster, no local artillery units and conscripts intead of NG). It's working well for me, and I am really having to take care of my guns and time their production and transportation to my armies. I'd like to know what you think, iutland.
I have released a beta in the sub-mods.
GreetingsAs always excellent work both in gameplay and appearance of the units represented, truly this mod is second to none.As a personal preference is there a chance that the base French Cuirassier skin can be replaced by the excellent and high quality skin produced by Pdguru for his equally excellent Heavy Cavalry Reserve mod??Looking at the side by side comparisons in still shots as well as in game reveal a night and day difference as far as the detail and representation, especially the improvement on the otherwise scraggly looking Horse Hair plume.
I think it's a great idea but I need to try it out myself before I can give better feedback. I'm a bit busy at the moment
I think the next major update 1.8 can include his excellent and latest Cuirassier uniform. Release 1.7 (and 1.7.1) includes the first released Cuirassier uniform update.
Cheers

i just played a 1805 Campaign as france lasted to 1808 when i took moscow and russia was the last Coalition faction still standing and this is what i think.
Love it very good units love the Correct names of units and Ships and the correct starting fleets and armies the Ai works good and is a Tough and fun opponent the naval Combat is very fun and i love it but on the land combat im not as much of a fan i think it was a bit to high Musket Lethality and Accuracy and think that Light infantry was kinda unbalanced especially for the Prussians and Austrians as they got very big Light infantry units.
I would Suggest that u remove Ranged Weapons from most cav that is not Skirmisher cav or only give them 1 or 2 rounds as 80% of the time i get cav doing linebattles with my lines its especially funny when cav with pistols dose it run up whitin range (30) and then Start fiering untill they rout i say it would be more fun if they would Charge home instead of standing there being picked apart

Greetings all,
Some feedback on my last French campaign which finished in summer 1814 (I just went bankrupt).
1. British light dragoons seem very powerful in melee - constantly kicking French Cuirassiers ass? Also, it's the only cavalry unit the British recruit - no heavy cavalry seen at all.
2. Confirm overall cavalry firearm issue - AI is still using cavalry as ranged units and missing the chance to strike effectively
3. French campaign too reliant on the port of Nantes. Once the Briitish send one of their full stack fleets to blockade it the whole French economy collapses. Can trade nodes be spread out a bit more? It doesn't seem right (and is at least a game killer) when a single blockade effectely finishes the entire global conflict.
4. British economy might need looking at - despite constant blockdes of London by me and the Belgians, they had six full stack armies and three full stack navies by mid 1814? Shouldn't they have a few very good troops - perhaps put tighter limits on British unit numbers?
5. Repeat foreign militia spamming by Russia
6. Odd cuirassier unit (14. Pulk Kirasjerow) recruitable by French?
7. The current limit of foreign recruitable infantry and cavalry units effectively halts expansion given extensive armies being raised by the AI. I suggest the unit limits be raised significantly.
The test mod I put in to remove ability to raise foreign artillery units successfully changed the dynamics and forced creation and transportation from France, and made me treat it with greater care.
Note: Item 3. above is my greatest concern and is a game-stopper.

That's why France is always best off demolishing all northern ports to reroute the trade South where it has a chance of being defended, if not by France then Spain getting in the way.
Is it me...but...?
I am still trying to get my head around having the generic regional units that one can recruit now. It feels somehow wrong coming across (for example) Spanish and French armies loaded up with red coated regional units or for that matter having a British army full of non-Red coats. Also, with with all the efforts every one has made to get uniforms, weapons, equipment, sounds and formations as accurate as possible it's a bit unsettling to have these generic a-historical units all over the place - it sort of defeats the object of all that hard work that has been done.
I guess my questions/comments are two fold. 1) why do we have these generic regional units (that's not a criticism, it is just that I would like to understand the reasons)? and 2) can the regional units be uniformed in the typical colour associated with the raising country (e.g. blue for France, Red for Britain etc)? and 3!!!) can the regional units be made optional?
Apologies if this has been discussed elsewhere and apologies if the general view is that regional units are fine.
Thoughts anyone?
