Thread: any suggestions?

    Default any suggestions?

I bought Empire Total War about two weeks ago. The game played perfectly with no graphical issues to speak of or CTD's. A couple of days ago I decided to download Darthmod Ultimate Commander. After downloading and installation I tried playing and I had some issues with there being no sound and some CTD's. So I decided to uninstall darthmod and just play the regular old Empire. That's when my trouble began...Empire no longer works. I get to the first loading screen, the one with the copyright info, and then the game crashes. I have updated all my drivers (by the way I've only had my computer for about three weeks, it's brand new) and uninstalled and reinstalled steam and Empire three times to no avail. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated as I have enjoyed playing Empire and would like to do so again. Thanks!

Right-verify ETW with steam and see if that makes a difference-it will iron out any problems with the actual game, so if problems continue it will be something to do with your computer.

You could also try running ETW in compatibility mode for XP SP3.
