Okay good news and bad news.

Good news: I got the map working!!

Bad news: The problem was either in the heights, regions, or terrain. I simplified them to get it running.

Well, I managed to get it to work in its full glory. I took out all that interior water, because it just wasnt working for me. I will add the major lakes in Ireland, and some in scotland, but thats it.

Anyways, without further delay, I present to you, WINTER IN THE HIGHLANDS!

Awesome, I had no idea how advanced this mod was! I checked here a month or so ago when it was still just a thread,
and it looked nice but like it had an awfully long way to go. Suddenly it's way up there on my 'mods to watch' list.

    Great work!

One small critique is that I'm Irish (I live just at the head of Strangford Lough)
, and it seems that Lough Neagh (the big one in the middle) is a little too big, and that Strangford
Lough (the long thin one on the east coast) should be open to the sea. The vikings used to sail up it and raid the monastaries
on the lough shore. In fact, it was named by the vikings and means 'Strong Ford', a reference to the strong currents at it's narrow mouth.

It's not a big deal though, and it's still (easily) the best map of Ireland I'v seen for RTW. Plus I can play as Ui Neill! not just 'Irish'

EDIT: here's a map of Northern Ireland to show you what I mean about the loughs:

    I did.

Seriously, though... when I played the Barbarian Invasion demo, their take on the "Battle of Badon" made me cry. And not in a good way. Like an "and Jesus wept" sort of cry.

After I started lurking the TWC forums, and saw this, I realised to my chagrin that I was going to swallow paying for the "Hollywood History" crap that was BI if I wanted to play Arthurian. And every day that I come back and look at these forums, I'm happier that I did.
