Hey guys, I had a proposition to you
We currently have 2 vacant forums in the RPG forum, I would like to offer WEF one of them. You would get several subforums, extra traffic and would be included in the Eagle Standard's RPG Write up every month.

I suppose it's up to Barry, but it would generate some much needed players. Hell, we'll be bringing IH's to the unwashed masses.
I for one have no problems with a move, though I'd like to hear you guys' opinions first. As MMM said it'd bring IHs into the public eye and possibly generate some new players, both of which are pluses in my book.
And you get quite a bit better in regard to organisation
Yeah, I'd be up for that! I'd love some more players in my ACW IH

there can be no power greater anywhere beneath the sun,
yet what force on earth is weaker than the feeble strength of one?
but the union makes us strong.
It's just for the WEF IH, Fred. It may indirectly bring more people to this sub-fourm, though.
I can only see positive things happening if this move is made. Final decision to Barry of course, but I support this!
Oh. Nvm then, I still support this but I assume my game won't get more players

I vote no. Those RPG fellows are bad seeds. They flame and troll to death as well.

Do they? Oh dear. Then perhaps I CAN see some negative things coming out of a move...
If the game does move to the RPG forums, does Barry still exercise complete administrative control? I mean obviously he'll still control the game, but what about in terms of ending/punishing the activities Celsius has highlighted above?
Come on, that's not true. They may be a few bad eggs, but i've been in the RPG Fourms for quite some time, and i've rarely seen any trolls.
A few is all it takes. God Save the King was shut down almost because of all the flaming.
If Barry would be the only moderator there, It would ease my mind. But at this time, the RPG Moderators are intrusive and wont care what Barry thinks.
Well I think that as long as Barry still has powers of moderation over his game (in terms of forum moderation, in addition to game moderation) we should be a-okay.
as I said, PRG mods are ultra-intrusive.
You mean to say they'd step on Barry's toes? Because I don't want that. First, he doesn't deserve it, and second, he is very much capable of running the game on his own. Can we reach an agreement where Barry remains ultimately in-charge, and maybe select one or two "lieutenant" mods from the IH group he trusts, and then the RPG mods come in when we need the heavy artillery? Something along those lines? I'm just throwing stuff out there, feel free to add/comment etc etc
I completely agree with you.
And yes, they would step on his toes.
So we have a delicate balance here.
On one hand, we want the additional exposure and organizational options/clarity that we can get in the RPG section.
On the other hand, we don't want Barry or the game to be hampered in any way; basically, we don't want the dynamic that we've developed here to be changed.
It seems to me that if we can reach a set-up where we treat WEF as an "IH enclave" in the RPG section, rather than as just another RPG, we might find a happy medium on the knife's edge.
You can simply tag into the Sub-Forum title 'IH:' to represent that.
"Only Connect!...Only connect the prose and the passion, and both will be exalted, and human love will be seen at its height. Live in fragments no longer."
Im still against this move. The RPG players play a whole nuther ballgame than we do here.
I left the RPG section to get away from those players & mods and I will not go back.
Indeed, but I'm talking about logistics too. Some sort of agreement where the RPG mods leave the modding to Barry (and a lieutenant or two if the player base increases enough), and only enter the fray when they are called in. I've never been to the RPG section, so I won't label any mods there without getting to know them first - but Cels' concerns, whether they are valid or not, do highlight the fact that precautions never hurt anybody.
