Icon2 Multiplayer Campaign: Any Faction Tutorial

You can enable any faction to be playable in Multiplayer Campaign. Both players will need to perform the following instructions, or one player can do it & send the finished file to the other. This may be more time effective for less tech-savvy individuals.

    What you need:

    - A functional ESF Editor Download EsfEditor 1.4.5

    - A brain

    1. Download a functional esf editor. EsfEditor 1.4.5 works flawlessly.
    2. Extract the EsfEditor and open it up. Browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Napoleon Total War\data\campaigns\mp_eur_napoleon & open startpos.esf
    3. Navigating just like you would in windows explorer, go to the following areas and change the values for all desired factions. Typing in True & hitting enter for each:

    • CAMPAIGN_PREOPEN_MAP_INFO/CAMPAIGN_PLAYERS_SETUP/PLAYERS_ARRAY/(Desired Faction)/(Desired Faction) Middle False change to True
    • CAMPAIGN_PREOPEN_MAP_INFO/FACTION_INFOS/(Desired Faction)/ 3rd and 4th False change to True
    • CAMPAIGN_ENV/CAMPAIGN_MODEL/WORLD/FACTION_ARRAY/(Desired Faction/CAMPAIGN_PLAYERS_SETUP/ Middle False change to True
    • CAMPAIGN_ENV/CAMPAIGN_SETUP/PLAYERS_ARRAY/(Desired Faction)/ Middle False change to True

Now when you host a Multiplayer Campaign, your desired faction will be selectable. Both players should have the same startpos.esf file in the directory to avoid any problems. Never tried having the other player with the vanilla esf file.

Notes: If at any time you your startpos.esf file up, you can delete it & goto Steam>Right Click Napoleon Total War>Poperties>Local Files>Verify Integrity of Game Cache and it will re-download any missing vanilla files.[CONTENTBOX][/CONTENTBOX]

    Nevermind this doesn't work.
