how to rename generals

hey guys,

i would like to know how to rename your general!?
i know, there is a tutorial about this on twcenter, but i think its bull** because many steps do not work.
i followed this tutorial and i just got the last name! the other generals had no name at all!!!
that means it is possible, but how.....?

could someone please give me or the world a correct tutorial or at least a hint how to do it right??

You need to get the name you want the general to have in unit_pack_compatibility_project.pack
Go into starpos find the general you want to rename and give him the name you put in unit_pack_compatibility_project

Hope this help, but my opinion to much work for a not important thing.

obs: I'm not sure if it's in the loc (unit_pack_compatibility_project) you need to change the name but i think it is.

Download pack file manager
Open the loc with it
In the loc (unit_pack_compatibility_project) look for the names of characters
change one of the names for the name you want
Now open the starpos.esf with esf editor
In esf go to the faction which the general belongs to
In characters look for the general and change his name
Ready to play

thank you very much, but it doesn't work!
i don't know why!
i want to change two names of two generals. but when i do it the way you discribed it, one general has NO name at all and the other general just has the last name i entered.

do you know why?
