Here's the thing, long ago, probably 10 years or more, I watched a film, I don't remember what it was about or the genre, certainly not comedy, it was most likely drama, I remember just one scene from it, there were two young boys playing and one of them falls with his back on a plank that has a rusted nail on it, thrusting into his spine. I don't know anything else really, that scene just came to my mind recently and I became curious what film it was. If anyone knows it please let me know.

It does not sound familiar but I know the feeling. There is a movie or possibly miniseries that I was as a child that I have been trying to find for many years but couldnt find. I think I was like six or seven when I saw it...

I'd say it would most likely be from the eighties or late seventies.. it was a fantasy setting at least, and it had something to do with special water from a forbidden pool or fountain or such, that belonged to a beautifull woman.
I believe there was a king but it could have been another kind of noble with three sons. The youngest was the protagionist. I believe the father was ill and send his sons to find a cure for him. Whatever sickness there was, it made the father older.
Their family colors where yellow and orange.. maybe with some red too. And I believe from drinking some cursed water or such their clothes where suddenly blue and purple.
I think it ended with the woman laying attacking their castle. She fought the three sons one by one in a swordfight, and commanded them to tell her what they had taken from her. The eldest two said they took nothing, and the third did admit that he took something. I have no idea how it ended after that.

It's nice having a good memory, remembering quite a lot of things from my childhood, but sadly the memories are not always too complete.
