If I get +3 experience for my troops in the barracks will having the highest level shrine for Aphrodite which gives you +1 exp give me 4 exp (1 silver exp) for my troops.

I believe 3 experience for a freshly recruited unit is as high as you can go. Imo, any more chevrons would be a bit cheap.
