Thread: Patch BI 1.6

  1. #1

    Default Patch BI 1.6

There was some sort of fix which Adherbal was looking for in the BI 1.6 patch which would facilitate his work and alleviate the need for a scripted solution. Does the patch fix what he was looking for, whatever that was?

The main problem was that the map.rwm couldn't get generated with the new buildings. According to SigniferOne, this bug got fixed, but Adherbal hasn't said anything on the subject yet.

Ohhh. He is probably just mean. He probably fixed it already. But he won't tell us.

    is the mod delayed further?
what needs to be fixed in the mod that requires a patch?

Can someone tell me what this "bug" is and did someone posted about it in the CA forum?
I doubt CA stuff is lurking on this TWC forum looking for bug report.
I'm really anxious to play this mod and I would hate it to be delayed several months because someone forgot to tell CA about it.

It's been discussed a lot over at totalwar.org, and CA members have confirmed it as a bug long ago. Unfortunately, despite having said that they'll fix it with upcoming patches, they haven't done it so far.

Basically, the bug prevents new buildings from being imported into the campaign. As buildings are an essential new feature in the mod, this is a big problem for us.

Well, I think we should ask CA to fix this bug, in the official forum.
Maybe the CA guy in the forum forgot to report or something, or CA is still working on to fix it.

What ever you do, don't go back to 1.2

keep it on the vannlia bi, the patch is only minor and hardly fixes anything that any mod will need, also the patch delays every mod further and ruins christmas demos and mod releases.

Erm... Vanilla BI was what caused this problem, the patch just didn't fix it.

BI is what allowed them to use some of the new features. Ironic really.

It would be fine if we had a scripter to script the buildings in...
