New github repository etwng for all format discoveries and code opened
Right now file format information and code is all over the place.
I started github repository etwng to keep it all together ("etwng" had
no Google competition so why not).
I'm not going to stop posting discoveries here, and I'm not asking
for existing tools like DBEditor etc. to be moved to github;
but I want at least format specifications and links to every converter
of every format.
Please give me every spec you have - and information about
every format that is not understood - as you might have seen
recently very few formats are able to withstand serious investigation.
github uses distributed development model, so you don't need me to
add you to the project - just fork it and you'll get on the network.
It works far better than svn on sourceforge once you get used to it.
The long-promised Windows-friendly esf<->xml converter will
pop up there real soon now - first basic converter which is already
quite amazing, then campaign map exporter (and hopefully also importer ).

Priorities are:
- Top priority are format specs - for that just go to etwng and click on most appropriate README.txt to check them
- Once we have that, any kind of working conversion code, no matter what platform, what language, and how hard to use. Having some code mostly ensures that format spec is what we think it is. If you're a programmer, you can figure it out.
- Once we have that, user-friendly tools. This is eventual goal, but it can wait.
