To make 2.2 work do you have install previous ones?

No.
First install 2.2, then install 2.22.

Hi ive done that but as soon as i click on the rise of persia icon on my desktop it brings me back to the desktop

yeah i have two progamme files each with a rome total war in because i have vista which is the best one to install it in?

I've got Vista as well, but just one Program Files-folder.
Try reinstalling the mod (to C:\Program Files\The Creative Assembly\Rome - Total War, or wherever you've installed it). If that doesn't work, reinstall Rome Total War, then reinstall the mod again.

Some people have problems with RTW when installed in Program Files. Try installing it to a different location outside of Program Files.

i installed it in programme files x86 though now it hasnt got it own RTW folder but hey it works
