    Icon7 Version 3.0 Discussion

    Hello All, after lurking for one year i decided to participate in the forums.

    1) What do you think is going to be included in the next patch

    2) What do you think should be included in the next patch

    3) What do you think needs to be changed/fixed?

    for me;

    1) Minor tweaks

    2) New content for all factions , like conditional rewards and new units based on specific actions or performance. It gets a bit stale imo after a few campaigns , and with more diversity i think the quality of the game will increase greatly. Sub mods have great ideas but a lot of them are not compatible with each other and to be included in the next patch as an option would be great.

    3) Stronger Uruk hai, stronger cavalry archers that can use parthian tactics effectively, more experience bonus ,not rtw scale but more. A troop of orcs that have been ransacking eriador and dwarven kingdoms for years and that have gold chevrons should not be killed as easily as fresh recruits.

    Edit : In addition archers that have killed 100 orcs, should not have the same damage as fresh recruits, as the accuracy and lethality of an experienced archer would succeed a raw recruits. Thus Projectile damage should increase with experience.

    Must at last fix the colours of Arnor cause they stay in the entire game with the green colours of Eriador,for me nothing else

    Edit :i agree with Glorfindel

    also they could some light units for Arnor

    Totally agree.

    In fact allowing the 2.2 to have a really good upgrade, combining a shed load of mods would be great.

    The reason for this is that I am relatively new to all this Third Age stuff and don't really understand which mod(s) is the best for the game. What I do know is the total nightmare in creating a mod which is compatible with others. Script file overwrites, changes to textures, corrupting the data folder, etc... It would be nice to have a nice, neat download with the best and popular mods.

    As always, some new units and heroes will be added (I hope). Balance, gameplay and economical things will be nerfed even more, making this mod even more epic!

    Yes ,this would be an easy and effective decision. Including the best Sub mods and making them compatible is the easiest way to drastically improve the gameplay.

    Candidates include:

    AUM
    Vale of Anduin
    Heroes Mod
    Sauron and the one ring mod - realistic

    Some of Baron Samedi's Mods like;
    The beacons of gondor
    Elven Reforging kingdom
    Real Alliances

    And a lot more which are third age centric and realistic.

    Edit: And yes the Custom settlements would be a major win

    Thats hardcoded, if you change the colour for arnor, the colour for eriador will change too.

    The barracks events are removed, the maximum culture requirement to build units is 50%, and you are able to recruit all units from the start.

    Ok this is partly Good imo , i think there should be performance relative unlockable units aswell 'smiths of eregion', as it might get stale if there are no new units to recruit later in the campaign.

    I want more "What if" Campaigns. Focusing on smaller areas of Middle earth. For instance a Rohan Campaign wheres the map is the Rohan region with Isengard being the only enemy. With goals like defend Helms Deep for 50 turns or somthing. That be cool.

    more units types for mordor.
    more historical events and videos in he campaign.
    unique buildings for important cities and regions.
    more buildings and a building tree complex as for example rome surrectum II.
    a political and ocupation tree in the cities as forr example rome surrectum II or europa barbarorum.
    rework all units of orcs of misty mountains.
    rework some elf units of the two factions,the work of louix must be inclusive is very good.

    All Good Suggestions so far
    AoP's suggestions are mirrored by my own opinion. I was extremely impressed with Europa Barbarorum and its political aspects and tech tree structure.

    But more easier, more armour types? Is this a lot to ask for? The fact that a Gondor Militia unit from Arnach at the start of the game will have the same armour as a Militia unit from minas tirith when it has an armoury is unrealistic, unless the armoury at Major cities add to the number of units the settlement can train.

    Adding some 'good' ranger type units to the mercenaries roster for all good factions and raider types for evil (which exists to some extent). Would be nice too.

    And yes Archers who pull the string back are probably the best type of archer.

    Unique settlements!! That would be the best thing ...
    A more complex and unique building tree for each faction if possible! to give each faction a more unique gameplay experience ...
    Luis' heroes!!
    Better AI if possible ... which i think is a vital thing though as far as i know little can be done in this aspect ...
    More events and missions ...
    New units and balance fixes if needed ...

    well ... just some ideas ... if i think of something else i'll post it ... i hope that KK will consider our ideas and maybe include some of those to the next release ...

    A good example of the demand for new units, and a justification for the inclusion of AuM and other similar mods.
