direct x 9

i am using steam alex. to lauch my rsII but when i launch it, it says cannot find direct x 9.... reely frustrating as i've downloaded like 5 over direct x 9's so any help like a download link to the correct 1 will be a great help and have been dying to play this mod!!

Could you post a screenshot of your Steam RTW folder please.

Test to install it to RTW instead as we have had some problems to get alex to work on steam.

@ raphael: Just remove the enbseries and d3d8.dll file....Problem over...But the Bloom effect won't work....Post your system specs if possible....!!!!

ok i've tried both ways and...

for the install to rome instead of alx: same problem cant find direct x 9. can you post a link to where i can download the correct direct x? pls coz i've tried like 10 over direct x 9's but none of them work.

for the deleting of those 2 files: it says its missing a file the notice dissapears too fast before i could copy the problem down but both ways cant work.

And you are 100% sure that you was able to start your RTW/Alex before installing RS 2?

not 100% but i just read it carefully and i just realized i did not install it CORRECTLY but the way i installed it is about the same, i copied and pasted the vanila rtw files into that file i am using and installed rsII into it, is that the same?

Into what file?
I would recommend that you start from the top and uninstall and RTW and then reinstall it and make sure that vanilla RTW works before installing RS 2 into it.
