I had a bit of time on my hands as Steam felt it necessary be self-consumptive and eat a few of its and NTW's file (and in the process delete ETW). I had a long time to poke around at my old files and re-establish my belief that the vanilla blue colors for loading screens and intro movie are so much easier on the eyes than the spanish_skin we are forced to endure as an "improvement" or method of identifying the new Peninsular add-on.
Well, I don't really care for the red-gold combination, it feels a bit harsh on my eyes, so I reintroduced (modded) the old vanilla blue screens on my game...as I said, I had lots of time (really, this only took a few minutes). My serene vanilla blue screens help my mood, whereas the red just hurt it...much like its intrusive music...which is also gone (modded).
As a remembrance of vanilla blue:
--------------------------------- Edit------------------------------------------
Two files -
BMA_frontend_scrn_mod (Blue screens and such) - 17m
BMA_frontend_mov_mod (intro movie) - 125m
Almost forgot: screen mod needs an entry in the user_script.txt file:
mod "BMA_frontend_scrn_mod.pack";
BMA_frontend_mov_mod is in movie format, so just drop it in your data folder, no script needed.
Note: I [somewhat] reformatted this post as the thread was moved. It was not my original intent to release this as a mod, rather my intent was to get back to the vanilla screens. Things happen and stuff changes, so anyone is welcome to use this as they desire.
