It is standard. RTW is a different shortcut than BI.

just remember this: you cannot install BI over a modded RTW or the game is broken. modded RTW and modded BI = broken game. Especially if you have 1.2 mods in it.Originally Posted by BamBamTheRoman

Do it like I do... I have a base RTW 1.2 that I keep in a Kits folder away from the action...
Everytime I want to try a mod or BI I get that clean one out and I install whatever on it... Actually right now I have a BI install with an all factions mod, a Pax Britannica install and a RTR 6.3 install.

So, lemme get this straight. I do currently have a spare 1.2 data folder. If i wish to play both BI and 1.2 RTW on this comp...all I have to do is remove the data folder (version 1.4 or whatever BI patches it to)...and replace it with the 1.2 data folder...or do I also have to move the BI folder in the RTW directory?

No, you update one forlder with 1.2 to BI and then you leave the other one as it is. When you wish to play your BI you go to the updated folder and when you want to play RTW vanilla you go to the other.
I believe that simply switching the Data folder ain't enough...
