Our humble nation starts in what appears to be the northern section of the world, judging by the tundra and ice nearby. We also seem to have decided to settle near some silver. Our first city of Paris is founded in 6000 B.C and a group of brace young men set out exploring the land, heading west. As our civilizations unique ability is aimed towards culture we shall begin by erecting monuments to the gods. Our local farmers have expressed a need towards storing their grain and thus we have begun researching a method of baking clay.
Our brave warriors spot a group of people dressed in skins with clubs a few days (Years, really) up ahead and go to investigate. However upon further investigation their path seems to have been blocked by a rather large lake. Ahh well, perhaps we shall meet them some other day. A few years later a scouting party happens upon yet another group of people and moves in to look, but to their shock they are attacked. Forced to defend themselves they beat off the attackers and raid their camp. In other news we have adopted our first social policy, liberty, which allows us to build settler 50% quicker!!

We have finally learned the art of making clay pots, our farmers are most pleased. At the behest of our enterprising individuals we attempt to discover how best to delve into the earth. A few years later we once again are able to adopt a social policy and this time we choose “collective rule” which adds 50% of the food needed for the next citizen to every new city that is founded. Work has been completed on our grand monument to the gods and we are now starting on a settler.

Today we met a man who calls himself “George Washington”. He claims to lead a group of people called the “Americans”. We are not yet sure how to feel about this man, but we will be cautious. It is the year 3200 BC and our people have mastered the art of mining. After much deliberation we have decided to look into bronze working. After much travel and exploration we have met a city state called Singapore. We shall attempt to befriend these people. Their trait is “Maritime” and their personality is “hostile”. Alberti has completed his list of the most literate people. I am in last, with unknown player in first and Washington in eleventh. In addition to Alberti finishing his list, our settler was completed that year. We have sent him off in search of riches and new lands.


It is the year 2960 BC and we are now able to adopt another social policy. This time we choose Citizenship, which increased worker construction rate by 25%. Paris has spotted barbarians and has started shooting at them, God bless us in this conflict. But in happier news we have just founded our second city, Orleans, Located in lush forest besides ample supplies of deer and furs. They shall begin recruiting more valiant warriors for our nation. In other news, our spearmen (Who were upgraded from a warrior) must rest and heal after an intense battle with several groups of barbarians.


2640 AD, our scholars have learned the art of bronze working and are now putting it to use producing spearmen. We have begun to research masonry. After having had a few years of rest our spearman once again returns to the hunt. After ample exploration we are able to deduce that we are in Canada, near Montréal to be exact (If I remember my geography lessons right). We have managed to scout down to Florida, near where Singapore is located. A group of workers has been rounded up and is now mining the countryside. In addition to that good news the barbarians have finally been driven off of our lands.

Our second city of Orleans has finished recruitment of their first group of warriors, god bless them. They have begun building a granary. God be praised!! We have found our first natural wonder, the Barringer crater!!! Upon finishing masonry we have begun researching Calendar.

Recently we also finished another group of spearmen; they shall protect our capital from future barbarian raids. We have now begun work on a granary; we hope this will allow our mighty city to grow even larger.

Washington and singapore

It is the year 2080 BC and our mighty nation now enters a golden age. A few years (Turns) later we once more are able to adopt a social policy. This time we choose to adopt “Representation” under the Liberty branch, which increases culture output of all cities by 1. This goes well will our unique ability. In the year 2000 BC a man named Goethe completed a list of the richest people. Our friend Washington was in second while our nation was sitting in 8th place. We will not forget with Goethe!! Perhaps we should hire someone to write up an accurate list.

Our grand nation has completed the technology of calendar. We shall now begun research of writing, to further allow us to communicate with Washington. The year is 1720 BC and our city of Orleans is under attack! Valiant peasants begun to fire arrows from the streets and our warriors rush out to meet them on the field, it is a victory the enemy is utterly vanquished!! On the other side of our kingdom the city of Paris has completed its granary and is now starting on a worker. Alas our golden age has finally ended. However it allowed our kingdom to achieve great advances in literature and military might.

The year is 1480 BC and we finally learned the art of writing, we have now begun on Philosophy. In other news Orleans completed its granary and has started work on a settler. The leader of the Americans approached us today with a deal requesting open borders. We accepted, of course. It would also seem Washington has settled a new city, New York. We are not yet sure how we feel about this development. Our two cities have finally expanded enough that their borders meet. This is cause of great joy and celebration! Great news, our capital has completed its second worker, he is put to work in the fields immediately.

It is the year 1120 BC and our city of Orleans has completed its settler, it has started work on a monument. Gods be praised! We have found another naturals wonder, old faithful. However we have received terrible news, Singapore is under attack by America! We are sending men to aid them immediately. Paris has completed its spearmen and has started on another. Boethius has completed his list of the world’s most advanced people, we are glad to be at the top of this list. We will not say if we bribed him. It is the year 1000 BC and our nation has entered a war against America. Again we are able to adopt a social policy, this time we choose to go with the honor social tree to help our military. Good news has reached us! We have met Rio De Janiero, AND researched philosophy, AND entered the classical era. We have begun researching Iron Working. In the year 925 BC our third city, Lyon was founded. It is producing military units to help the war effort.

Bah! Singapore has made peace with Washington, the cowards!! We have met the city state of Florence, all is going well. Today Washington offered us a deal for peace, He offered peace but demanded all my gold (However pathetic that may be) and 1 gold per turn. I turned him down. Paris completed its spearman and has started on a worker. Our troops move ever closer towards Washington’s borders.

Paris has completed its worker and has begun producing the oracle. We hear rumors that Washington has entered the medieval era, these rumors worry us greatly. Today Washington offered us unconditional peace, we refused. Oh and we have iron working now, our ninja warriors, err, swordsmen shall be built soon! We have begun researching animal husbandry. Our spearmen are on Washington’s border; however the attack must be halted so they can recuperate from a failed barbarian raid. In the year 500 BC our farmers mastered the art of animal husbandry. We are now researching The Wheel. In other news our men have entered battle with Washington’s; we are unsure what the outcome of the battle will be. Bleh, someone beat us to the oracle, Orleans will now build a library. The siege of New York has begun!!

In the year 375 BC our scholars finished the first wheel, it is now being put into use by our farmers. Also, Goethe finished another false list, this time of the richest people. We are in 6th with Washington in 3rd. Our people are now learning how to ride horses. Today the two leaders of the French and the American peoples met and agreed on an unconditional peace. Our forces are being pulled back from Washington’s lands. Our soldiers at the edge of Washington’s lands are able to see why he begged for peace, he has but ONE archer left.



It is the year 250 BC and we move our spearmen closer to a barbarian camp that is sitting next a very valuable iron deposit. We are also able to adopt yet another social policy, thanks to our civilizations unique ability. We chose to adopt “Meritocracy” Which grants +1 happiness to every city on our trade network. And to make thing even better Orleans has finished its library and has decided to start on a settler. In the year 200 BC we have learned how to domesticate horses; this will allow us to build an even stronger military force. We have begun research on trapping. In addition to this we finally managed to eradicate a barbarian camp that had been menacing our borders.


The year is 150 BC and Paris completed its library. It is now working on a horseman to support our ever growing military. We have also finished research on trapping. We shall now begun research of Civil Service. Lyons has also finished its spearman; it is now building a Monument. In the year 75 BC our men noticed Washington had settled a third city, Boston and is now sending out a settler to place a fourth!!

In 25BC Washington placed Philadelphia beside a lake. This is unacceptable. Our two nations have once again entered a war. We have 4 men nearing his new cities borders. Gods be praised! Our civilization has lasted for 6000 years. And a great general has been sent from the heavens to support our war effort. Scipio Africanus has been born (No, I’m not kidding!). After 25 years of battle (One turn) Philadelphia has lost half of its hit points! After an intense 75 years of war Philadelphia has fallen to our valiant warriors! We hope we can hold off Washington’s men until backup arrives. Luckily for Washington in his constant retardedness has declared war on Singapore. He must now fight a war on two fronts. AND HE HAS ALSO SETTLED ANOTHER CITY. But we did as well, it is called Troyes. It shall start by producing a granary.

In the year 150 AD Lyon has finished production of its Monument and is now building a spearman. The coward Washington approached us today begging for an unconditional peace treaty. We accepted, of course so as to give us more time to prepare for the next inevitable war. We have come to realize our two nations can never live in harmony while the other remains so close.

Orleans finished its spearmen in 225 AD and is now working on a temple. Paris finished its horseman as well and is also building a temple. In 250 AD Goethe (The big turd) finished his newest false list; the list of the happiest people. We are on the bottom. To our shock Washington is willing to accept an open borders agreement. We have accepted but only to further out plans of invasion.

In the year 350 AD we finished Civil Service. We shall now begin researching theology. The past few hundred years have been uneventful. We are moving more men to Washington’s borders all the time and he is attempting to send out another settler, although we are blocking his efforts with our cavalry.

Next one should be longer, didnt have much time to write this.


In 520 AD Washington sent out another settler. Alas we must start yet another war. In 540 we are able to adopt another social policy. We choose to adopt Discipline. This grants a bonus to units that are on an adjacent tile to another friendly unit. As well as adopting a social policy we managed to convince Singapore to join the war on our side.

Lyon finished its pike men; it is now working on a swordsman. The year 580 AD is a good one for the French peoples. We finished Theology and are now working on Construction. We also captured the enemy city of New York. Paris finished its temple and is now working on a swordsman. In the year 620 Washington was under siege. We suspect it will fall within 40 years (Or two turns). After 40 years the siege was NOT over. But we did finish construction; we are now working on sailing. Alas, after 40 more years the siege was broken, we are summoning reinforcements however.

We also finished Sailing and are now working on optics. Great joy! We discovered the Grand Mesa! Washington has accepted our peace offer. The fool will allow us to rebuild again. Troyes finished its granary in 720 AD it is now working on a monument. We have finished optics; we shall now work on Education. In 800 AD Goethe produced another one of his lists. This one appears true however, showing us at third in total production. Tragically Washington denied our request for open borders. Ah well we will take his borders from him soon!

A little tip: If they do take Singapore, you can take it back and liberate the city so you can get your ally back. Or, alternatively, you can take it for yourself. Either way, you prosper and Washington falls.

He's getting beat hard in singapore now . The only city state I'm worried about is Rio de Janiero, they don't like me much as I trespassed in their lands.

Yeah, it's defenitely much larger. You could easily fit all 18 civs (19 in Deluxe Edition) and all 28 city-states with enough room for ALL of them to create 6-7 cities.

Washington now has 3 spearmen and an archer outside Singapore. Singapore does not have much longer we fear. We will try to intervene when we can. In 920 AD our forced peace treaty with Washington expired. Well, looks like his time is up. Luckily for us Washington just lost almost all of his army in one failed attack on Singapore.

In 960 AD Paris finished its circus and is now working on another swordsman. The war has begun. Our men have moved inside Atlanta’s borders and are beginning our attack. Lyon also finished its Granary this year; it is now working on a swordsman, like Paris. In 1000 AD we finished Education; we are now working on archery. We also managed to take Atlanta this year. Not only does this mark the 7000th anniversary of our civilization it also means Washington only has two cities left!!

We are moving our troops towards Boston to deprive Washington of its troop building capabilities. We also finished archery and are now working on Mathematics. This year is a good year; we are also able to adopt a social policy. This time we choose to adopt republic, giving us +1 production in every city. And to make things even better Paris finished its swordsman. It is now building another one.

In 1040 AD we finished Mathematics. We are now working on Engineering. Troyes also finished its university it is now working on a catapult. Washington proposed peace to us, of course so close to taking yet another of his cites we turned him down. In the year 1060 AD Washington sent a lone archer to attack New York. We shall easily crush this threat. In addition to the siege Paris also finished its swordsman this year. It is now working on a settler. And to make our year even better, we took Boston!! Lyon also finished its Swordsman. It is working on swordsman again. Our men draw ever closer to the city of Washington. We give it 100 years before it is crushed.

Poor washington

Thanks to a small group of our warriors we were able to deal with a small barbarian encampment that had been troubling Rio De Janiero. They are now listed as our friends. We hope to influence them to become our allies soon. In addition to this great news we also finished engineering. We shall start on currency.


Paris finished its settler in 1090 and is now working on a trireme. Our troops are right outside Washington’s very walls. He does not have very long. Our leaders are in a panic, they have spotted ANOTHER of his settler fleeing from the city. This man is a fool; does he think he can escape? Paris finished its trireme and is now working on a garden.


Heavens be praised, we have founded another city. The city of Tours shall grow to reach the stars!! It is working on a lighthouse. Washington’s beloved city of Washington (The egotistical traitor) has but 1 health left. It will fall oh so soon. In 1130 a great scientist Marie Curie was born in Orleans. We used her to start a golden age. In 1140 we finished currency. We shall now work on Compass. Lyons and Troyes finished what they are working on. Lyons is building a coliseum and Troyes a market.
