Senator Olson has requested a meeting with the Dano-Norwegian envoy, and the ambassador has finally made himself present.

Also, is your country interested in selling the Danish West Indies to the United States?"

OOC: Couldn't find any real ambassadors at this time, so I'll go with Karl Fischer

"Of course, we agree to the trade agreement. As for the sale of our West Indian colonies - the Crown is willing to let them go, but only at the price of six million rigsdalers."

Fischer stared blankly at Olson for a few moments, then burst out laughing.

"You want us to send Danish and Norwegian boys off to their deaths for such a meager amount?! If I didn't find it so funny, I'd have taken that as an insult! Nothing less than fifteen million rigsdalers will be enough to change our minds!"

OOC: That translates into 25%.
