    Default Accuate Aging & Traits With Four Seasons(AATFS)

    I thought that I'd work on a small mini-mod to add four seasons to DLV, but with accurate aging and trait gains and construction time.

    Most credit should go to GrnEyedDvl, I'm only adding numbers.

    The idea of 4 season might not be a popular one, but it's something I want to do for me, and will share with the rest of you, 'cause I know there might be a couple people out there who would like it.


    Traits affected by year
    Recalculating construction times - Done
    Proper Aging and Seasons - GrnEyedDvl


    Can this be moved to Mini-Mods please? I thought I was in the right forum.

    This sounds like an excellent idea. I've wondered about trying it out myself, but never could figure out what to change; more worried about screwing things up than anything haha. If you can do this, it would be wonderful, especially if you could get the 3 warm seasons, then winter. Oh, and especially the possibility for differing degrees of winter: harsh, mild, etc. just a thought/suggestion.

    This could be a really interesting mini-mod.

    If you are using 4 or more turns per year, my idea is that you should think about the married couples to have only one child during this 4 seasons. Some guys could end having all their children the same year, and that's just not right...

    Yeah.

    I'll have to double the turns on everything, I think. Building and Recruitment, instead of 2 turns, say, it'd be 4.

    Lots to do, I think.


    UPDATE: All the construction time for buildings is scaled to coincide with 4 seasons.
    Working on missions and unit training times, and then moving onto Traits and such.

    This would be excellent and would really enhance the immersion, IMHO. It's kind of hard to believe that it takes an army 2 years to march across England, but with the 4 seasons mod, it would only be a year, which is more believable. It would really give you an impression of the campaign season.

    4 seasons a year should be standard - I prefer loooong drawn out games... But I'm sad. Heh.

    I'm _very_ much in favor of this, especially if winter will no longer be half the year. It shouldn't take years to cross certain distances. The armies seem to move at least a mile a day. :p

    I've already done this to the level of 4 seasons turns with all build, recruit, and money factors adjusted.
    It works great and adds a lot to the game for me.

    My version would be unpopular tho.
    It's only base DLV6.2 and would be incompatible with Taiji's BB modding.

    I'll keep an eye on your progress for the traits part.
    And if you should think to add in scripting for announcing the seasons as an 'event' I could go for that.

    ATM i have my hands full with removing the Americas and adding Aragon...
