Letter to Congress from General Thomasson

Greetings, my fellow americans.

It has come to my attention that we have declared war on the Ottoman Empire; This is not the wisest move, but I still commend you for your obvious presence of balls.

I wonder how we will fight them; as of now we have no navy to transport our army. I recommend that we begin at least SOME military spending(OOC: 20-25%)on building a navy and raising more regulars for combat duty. Our army is smaller than the average Brigade, and I am deeply worried about this, not to mention we have a vast recruiting pool of Militia, which we can train in the field.

To put it simple, gentlemen; We should have prepared first.

Um, we're way ahead of you. A navy is being built, and for the most part, mercenaries will be fighting this war. (most likely lead by me)
