    templar is doing a completely new animation for order brothers in arms with axe..they'll fight with two handed axe and they'll attack from high to down(sorry for bad english)...soon some screens

    We need an animation for trebuchets, so they can fire like a giant sling. how about an animation for longbowmen with their left arm held firm vertically and the the right arm draw from the back and release (the left arm shouldn't move while the longbowmen aren't marching).
    The die is cast...
    Unfortunately, it turned up right for Caesar, not for me.

    i think maybe it's a little bit too much, for now

    I see your point, but these animations would be good for the final product.

    When Rome fell, Byzantium became mostly Greek and Eastern related. Their sword, the xiphos, is the sword that the Greeks used as hoplites.

    Well, the xiphos fell out of fashion with the rise of the Roman Empire. The Byzantines mainly used the spathion/spathe (a longsword) or the paramerion (scimitar), though the paramerion arrived in the eleventh century AD.

    It depends where you look. I've read about Byzantines using Greek weapons including the xiphos.

    i think we should need some new animations for the italian communal militia units (some kind of two-handed spearmen)
