    Default RS2 MP rules

    Me and Galvie were talking for about a week, and agreed on a ruleset for casual RS2 MP games. i have PM'ed Hellhound with them but no subsequent thread was made, so i guess ill get on that now:

    * No artillery. This is to prevent noobs from screwing themselves.

    * Max 1 elephant. Also to prevent noobs from screwing themselves.

    * Max 8 cavalry (includes Cavalry, Chariots, Elephants and Horse Archers).

    * Max 8 Missile units (Includes Archers and Slingers, but not peltasts)

    * Max 4 horse archers (Does not include Javelin Cavalry)

    The vanilla version did not allow elephants, had a max 6 same unit restriction and only allowed for 2 horse archers and had a 2 limit on berserks, so i feel we are being liberal while still putting some structure into the game. This will hopefully eliminate HA spam, and help people not to waste too much cash on art and ele. If noobs kill themselves by spamming infantry they will eventually learn not to do that or we will debate on adding a max so many same units rule. note that if your host is using these, and you break them on mistake you can withdraw the unit or ask the host if he will allow you to play with it. If you bring 20 units of HA that constitutes loss by retardation.

    Galvie and i encourage people to try these out(not in tournaments yet ofc) and to see if these rules are nice or not. we are aware that these rules dont counter infantry spam yet but that is because infantry spam is just funny to kill and people should grow out of it automatically. if it persists the rules will be updated.

    I like these rules did not like the cav spam and elephant spam I encountered some times good job

    well hypothetically, the only way one could get 8 cav would be if he had like 4 of the cheapest 500 $ HA and 4 unupgraded hvy cav or such. if someone upgrades properly he should never reach the limit.

    Now anyone got suggestions on how we are gonna name these rules?

    In all my rs2 mp matches I have never seen any of these rules broken anyway...

    And you wont save noobs from screwing by any rules, because of theyr terrible unit controll.

    I cant picture parthia bringing more infantry than HA.....

    Don't change the rules anymore or the battles will all become the same, set piece battles which will be awful

    Rules look good to me. However I am still having issues can't play.

    I am going to start again with a clean install and the new patch, I can't think of anything else I can do at this point.
    3K needs to have an Avatar Campaign!!!

    well like all games, if theres a whiff of suspicion that someone is doing something as silly as spamming ele/ha/et cetera there is no point in playing.

    In my opinion let guys to solve how they want to play themselves and they can do it before each battle!

    besides the host decides which rules are being used in his match. the host also picks first by default which makes him vulnerable to counter factions.
