What go back to vanilla or remove it entirelly?
I think he wants to make a mod where smoke is gone?
Not real clear what you want. If you want less smoke, you can boot up the game go to OPTIONS/GRAPHICS/PARTICLES and set it on low.
If you want to mod, you need to grab up PFM and go into your DATA file and extract from the db folder:
particle_effects_table
projectile_impacts_table
projectile_explosions_table
projectile_table
-and-
from effects
landbattle.xml
-and also from effects
textures (a whole grunch of them - most of which seem self-identifying)
Maybe more? Maybe less?
Since I can only speculate, you need to do a lot of things with them and put them back in mod form and magic will happen.
I suggest you search for smoke mods and see what they have done...if that is your desire.
I am not a smoke person, so the intricate nature of this is a mystery.

what i meant was no smoke, and with smoke i meant the white fog going out a gun, i think i better search a mod which is allready made by a member of twcenter, making it myself is to difficult

That is a proper solution, but don't believe that the modding is beyond you. When you take the time and explore the mods and how they are written, a certain understanding of their composition can occur. There are many simple mods/tweaks you can do with limited knowledge.
Again, you can lower the smoke by adjusting your Particle settings as I mentioned earlier. No modding needed.
