You dont have to make more units... So what if they have less than Ottomans... Some factions have more, and some less...![]()
may be gunners(there were discusion about it) and may be axemen.Bulgaria need also good late perid heavy infantry, because the late otoman units are superb.
ah, moderators didn't take my announcement, because it's too big, so i had to resize it, and corp. anyways, there will be on front page announcement, but a bit later.

I don't think that Bulgaria need more units, but maybe if you add some upgraeds to the existing ones, that would make the balance.
Units like: Bulgarian infantry, Bulgarian town watch and peasants don't have upgreats.
Personally I think that only bulgarian guardsmen need upgrade(but the gunner must be presented ingame-it was rare and expensive but there was guns in medieval bulgaria).
Gunners, crossbowmen (crossbows started appearing in the 1340s, mostly in town and fortress garrisons, but remained quite rare) etc.

well, i'll add tatar lancers, it'll have same skin as tatar bodyguards, but with lance.
gunners are in, just not posted in preview. about the crossbow, dunno why, but kavhan disagree to include crossbows, only hand guns.
and yes, spearmen have upgrade, but town watch don't. town watch are actually levy unit, so i don't think they need it, cause you have spearmen.
so tatar lancers and medium infantry is on my option list. (i've seen medium cavalry from nike's album).

Whan Kaloyan besieged Thesaloniki in 1207 the chronicales writtes that the Kaloyans army was consisted by many different types of warriors-sheldbarriers, helmbarriers, russian mercenaries and slingers (need Rome TW animation for them) - but this was in 1207 .

I don't know how exactly the recruitment systems is going to work, but I'm assumeing that town watch will be the backbone of the army recruited in city/town.So it could be good idea to make update.
As for the infantry, they are the only type of archers for the Bulgaria, but as you mention there are Geonosan and Venetian units.
No one really know what were the shield barriers and helm barriers ( we gues that thay have really big shealds and helmets). Bulgaria TW team had made for their mode shied barrriers and thay look good-if you deside to use them you may want to reskin some parts .Ask Nike,Alien-T or GoGo-t - they represent the team.
I think you shoud make bulgarian proniarse, crossbowmen, handgunners and upgrate of the boyarse and the spearmen. The dificultyse came here because of the lack of information for the bulgarian units from XIV-XV centery. They brobably have some other unike unitse but we don't know for sure.I think bulgarian proniarse shoud be include also the archers shoud be upgrate into hevy one because at that time defending warfaer was developed.
