Uniform Switch mid-campaign
When playing an LME campaign it is possible to switch uniforms for certain factions halfway through the campaign.
An example you play as Prussia with "old style" uniforms in 1805 and 1807 and "new style" uniforms in 1812 and 1813.
Old style uniforms
New style uniforms
Unfortunately the feature is not activated automatically so when playing as Prussia in the early years 1805-1810 use the 1805 or 1807 campaign button to activate the old style uniforms and when your campaign progresses and you want the new style uniforms use the 1812, 1813, or 1815 campaign button to activate the new style uniforms. The feature is fully savegame compatible.
This feature also applies when playing as Austria, France, Saxony, Russia, Hessen, Britain, Kingdom of Holland.

Hi Dracula
"La montée de l'Empire" means "Rise of the Empire" in English.
Morale of custom LME units may be higher for some units compared to vanilla but it comes with increased price and upkeep. Generally ship morale is higher globally and coupled with stronger hulls will prolong naval encounters much like 1700-1800's naval combat.
Unit sizes are differentiated in the Normal version and matches the "Napoleon all in one" mod with the Large version.
Re: Download and Installation. Current Version 1.4
"La montée de l'Empire" means "Rise of the Empire" in English
i must say no, it is not french and sounds really wrong to any french ear (an empire cannot "monter", the milk in women tits can "monter", or the adrenaline, the fever, but never an empire).
the correct translation is : "L'Ascension de l'Empire"
another could be : "L'Avènement de l'Empire" : it doesn't mean exactly the same (it means something like "start of domination"), but it is the most common expression when we talk about the rise of an Empire.
and the last : "L'Expansion de l'Empire" that refers to an Empire which makes military conquest (it is more restrictive than the 2 others).

Wait, you are saying "la montee" is not a french word and you write a translation with english words and french spelling ?! Can you say "la montee de la empire" in french or this is incorrectly constructed as it were ?

Re: Download and Installation. Current Version 1.4
Sure, in this case it should be "L'expansion de l'Empire", or "La montée en puissance de l'Empire".
just try to write "la montée de l'Empire" in google, and you see no more results, because it is not good.
Wait, you are saying "la montee" is not a french word
here only 4 of them can be used for an empire, which doesn't mean the same of course :
essor for economy
développement for structures and institutions
ascension for power and prestige
poussée for pressure on frontiers and invasion ("poussée" of wisigoth empire on roman empire)
the first signification of "monter" is "monter in a car, in a tree, to a mountain" (monter comes from mont = mount) it is a mouvement from back to top, and it is also use to talk about "une montée of power, of fever, fear" (things completely abstract)

Re: Download and Installation. Current Version 1.4
Yeah I thought it can be associated with "to mount" but was not sure. Guess there is never an exact translation of a word from one language to another, but "the rise of the empire" looks like well fitting. In the other languages the closest meaning would be "upheaval" perhaps.

Re: Download and Installation. Current Version 1.4
In your opinion, the term "la montée de l'Europe" isn´t correct. Right?... it should be: " L´ascencion de l´Europe"
"...Par la suite, l'échec de la conquête de Vienne, la décadence de l'Empire ottoman puis la montée de l'Europe coloniale donnèrent le sentiment..."
just try to write "la montée de l'Empire" in google, and you see no more results
"..As for books, Llona made the hypallage explicite in his translation of the "Rise of the Colored Empires" as " L´Ascencion des empires de gens de couleur", while I stuck to the original figure "La Montée des empires de couleur", in which montée was intended to be an echo of "La montée de perils"...

well that was just said because it sounds really wrong in french, and i know it because I AM FRENCH. i will not explain during hours all the exceptions, subtilities etc...
the link you give is full of grammatical issues, non-sense, etc... can't be wrote by a native french user, many expressions means nothing: and that's not in my opinion, it's a fact. "Montée de Macedon" is perfectly ridiculous.
Agree that this discussion is not gonna improve the mod in any way, instead post your feedback regarding your experience with the mod
there is no discussion: i'm french, i talk french, i know what i say. i didn't think i would have to explain or justify, if an english says to me i use a bad word in english i believe him (sure i use wrong words in most of my posts), and i will not discuss it, for sure...
sorry to lose my time and yours. i had good intention, but if your last word is "we don't care and we are not sure you say the true", i think the next time i could help, i will not.

Re: Download and Installation. Current Version 1.4
Well the things grew fat. Let's just say that in international sphere where the english speaking people are not actually english, nor french making titles people are actually french .. everything is possible. Shouldn't be that bad, right ?!
I personally speak english with so much "esperanto" mix that...
