    Icon2 LME4 Download and Installation. Cumulative Patch 4.2 with Add-on released 11th March 2015

    README FIRST Promotional and preview video of LME4 gameplay is provided by naxzul666 and is available in both SD and HD. Remember to +Rep him here.

    If this is your first experience with this mod or you haven't played it for some time, mrXirish posted a very informative LME Introduction video on youtube that I can only encourage you to consult!

    While you are downloading the LME installer with impatience you might as well indulge in some of the more or less informative LME threads? If you want to read and explore the nations included in LME you should follow this link on the other hand you can read the general information here and flick through the spiralled development and view the mod contents here since LME 1.0. LME got its own custom made music pack with information here and if you are the kind of bloke or bird that always runs into trouble you should read this. Last but not least if your download speed is really bad go here or here.

    After a succesful download please follow the instructions below and enjoy the mod.
    Best regards from LME mod team

    Download and install How to install LME4:

    Follow this procedure closely or the LME4 mod launcher may not work correctly!!

    1. Uninstall previous LME3 version (same procedure as LME4) and remove any leftover LME files in your data folder etc.
    2. Uninstall or delete files belonging to other NTW mods in your data folder that you are not 100% sure that will not conflict with LME4!
    3. Download all parts of the LME4 installer using the Torrent, from Gamefront or Depositfiles, where the latter is a complete LME4 installer in a single .exe file (download links at the bottom of this page).
    4. Unrar all "LME4 NTW Mod Setup" parts in a common folder anywhere on your PC. Note!! that the 1.47 Gbyte LME4 installer is packed in 3 (Gamefront) RAR "part" files that belongs together and must be placed in the same folder at the same time before attempting to unpack!!
    5. Run the LME4 NTW Mod Setup.exe and install it into your "napoleon total war" folder (not the data folder), then follow the included instructions (The installer contains all LME4 mod files). Accept all prompts for overwrite as no vanilla files are overwritten without making an automatic back-up. A copy of the LME4_readme.rtf is located in your "napoleon total war" folder after installation and can be viewed with wordpad.
    6. Download the "LME4 User Script Setup" installer here: http://www.mediafire.com/folder/4kt5..._NTW_Mod_Files.
    7. Run the LME4 User Script Setup.exe and install it in your "scripts" folder (Win7 example: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Napoleon\scripts), then follow the included instructions. Accept all prompts for overwrite as no vanilla files are overwritten without making an automatic back-up.
    8. The LME4 mod launcher requires Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 installed and it can be downloaded from here. If you have played other mods that uses a mod launcher you may already have .NET Framework 4.0 installed.
    9. Download Cumulative Patch 4.2 from Mediafire, Gamefront or Depositfiles. It includes all fixes etc. since LME4.0 and can be installed on top of any LME4.X version. It is fully savegame compatible with any previous LME4 version!
    10. Download LME 4.2 Add-on from Gamefront, Mediafire or Depositfiles. It includes an updated Pdguru submod, which includes almost every unit he made for NTW, and an updated UAI (CAI) submod, which corresponds to with "Naval Supremacy v.2-0" from The Hedge Knight. All credit goes to Pdguru and The Hedge Knight! Install the 4.2 Add-on on top of the LME 4.2 Cumulative Patch (standard or alternate version) and it is fully savegame compatible.
    11. All files necessary to play LME4 with all the submods are now installed and your PC is setup to play the mod.
    12. There are a number of Non-standard submods for LME 4.2 available here: http://www.mediafire.com/folder/4kt5..._NTW_Mod_Files that replaces the special versions you experienced in LME3. Additional information below.
    13. The LME4 mod launcher is placed in your "napoleon total war" folder with a shortcut located on your desktop. Use the launcher to play the mod and refer to the image below for further information.
    14. You are now ready to play the latest version of LME and I hope you will like it
    15. If your Windows installation do not support French Characters like "é", then use these alternate installation files from depositfiles, which rename the character to "e". Download LME4 Installer, LME4 User Script Setup and LME4.2 Cumulative Patch 4.2 (also available from Mediafire).

    Refer to this image for help using the mod launcher, although it's intuitive to use and highly automated

    There are two simple rules that you have to comply with for the LME4 mod launcher to function correctly!

    1. Install in the correct folders!
    2. Do not rename or delete any files associated with LME4

    !!!NOTICE!!!

    If the LME4 mod launcher for some reason or another doesn't work, there is a work around that requires a little effort but still works:

    Locate your user.script.txt and type the following:

    mod LME4_Pdguru_Winter.pack; (OPTIONAL!)
    mod LME4_Pdguru.pack;
    (OPTIONAL!)
    mod LME4_XFSM.pack;
    (OPTIONAL!)
    mod LME4_WOS.pack;
    (OPTIONAL!)
    mod LME4_Camp1805.pack;
    mod LME4_Music_Project.pack;

    mod LME4_graphics.pack;
    mod LME4.pack;

    (OPTIONAL!) means that they are not needed to play the mod! Do not type anything past the ";" character!

    For other campaigns just substitute "
    LME4_Camp1805.pack" with the filename of the campaign you want to play!

    Included UAI, AUM, MAUM and Wolves do not need user script activation. Instead they must be copied from the data\LME_files folder to the data folder. Same procedure applies for the LME Text packs, just remember to delete/remove previous Text pack from the data folder
    .

    Do not report any errors you may have if you have not followed the instructions to the letter

    Thanks to
    ♠ Marshal Beale ♠ for permission to use his cannon textures.
    Uniform Switch mid-campaign
    When playing an LME campaign it is possible to switch uniforms for certain factions halfway through the campaign.
    An example you play as Prussia with "old style" uniforms in 1805 and 1807 and "new style" uniforms in 1812 and 1813.

    Old style uniforms

    New style uniforms

    Unfortunately the feature is not activated automatically so when playing as Prussia in the early years 1805-1810 use the 1805 or 1807 campaign button to activate the old style uniforms and when your campaign progresses and you want the new style uniforms use the 1812, 1813, or 1815 campaign button to activate the new style uniforms. The feature is fully savegame compatible.

    This feature also applies when playing as Austria, France, Saxony, Russia, Hessen, Britain, Kingdom of Holland.

    Hi Dracula

    "La montée de l'Empire" means "Rise of the Empire" in English.

    Morale of custom LME units may be higher for some units compared to vanilla but it comes with increased price and upkeep. Generally ship morale is higher globally and coupled with stronger hulls will prolong naval encounters much like 1700-1800's naval combat.

    Unit sizes are differentiated in the Normal version and matches the "Napoleon all in one" mod with the Large version.

    Yes it works in the same way as Bethencourt's Rebellions Shipyard mod for ETW and the naval part of LME is actually a 100% inclusion of my Naval Supremacy mod that is inspired by Bethencourts work.

    i must say no, it is not french and sounds really wrong to any french ear (an empire cannot "monter", the milk in women tits can "monter", or the adrenaline, the fever, but never an empire).

    the correct translation is : "L'Ascension de l'Empire"

    another could be : "L'Avènement de l'Empire" : it doesn't mean exactly the same (it means something like "start of domination"), but it is the most common expression when we talk about the rise of an Empire.

    and the last : "L'Expansion de l'Empire" that refers to an Empire which makes military conquest (it is more restrictive than the 2 others).

    Wait, you are saying "la montee" is not a french word and you write a translation with english words and french spelling ?! Can you say "la montee de la empire" in french or this is incorrectly constructed as it were ?

    In fact, the term "La montée" is correct.

    Some examples, "La montée de L´Empire Grec", La montée du reich," la montée en puissance de l'Empire"," la montée de l'Europe", etc, etc.

    Sure, in this case it should be "L'expansion de l'Empire", or "La montée en puissance de l'Empire".
    just try to write "la montée de l'Empire" in google, and you see no more results, because it is not good.

    Wait, you are saying "la montee" is not a french word
    it is a french word, that should not be used in this case. when you translate "rise" in french you get all this words :
    essor
    développement
    augmentation
    relèvement
    élévation
    ascension
    hausse
    enchérissement
    envolée
    hausse
    montée
    pente
    poussée
    lever
    côte

    here only 4 of them can be used for an empire, which doesn't mean the same of course :
    essor for economy
    développement for structures and institutions
    ascension for power and prestige
    poussée for pressure on frontiers and invasion ("poussée" of wisigoth empire on roman empire)

    the first signification of "monter" is "monter in a car, in a tree, to a mountain" (monter comes from mont = mount) it is a mouvement from back to top, and it is also use to talk about "une montée of power, of fever, fear" (things completely abstract)

    Yeah I thought it can be associated with "to mount" but was not sure. Guess there is never an exact translation of a word from one language to another, but "the rise of the empire" looks like well fitting. In the other languages the closest meaning would be "upheaval" perhaps.

    In your opinion, the term "la montée de l'Europe" isn´t correct. Right?... it should be: " L´ascencion de l´Europe"
    "...Par la suite, l'échec de la conquête de Vienne, la décadence de l'Empire ottoman puis la montée de l'Europe coloniale donnèrent le sentiment..."

    just try to write "la montée de l'Empire" in google, and you see no more results
    "Le déclin des royaumes de Macédoine correspondait à la montée de Rome"
    Or,
    "Montée de Macedon"
    http://www.worldlingo.com/ma/enwiki/...ent_of_Macedon

    ---
    From "French Translations of Great Gatsby"

    "..As for books, Llona made the hypallage explicite in his translation of the "Rise of the Colored Empires" as " L´Ascencion des empires de gens de couleur", while I stuck to the original figure "La Montée des empires de couleur", in which montée was intended to be an echo of "La montée de perils"...

    well that was just said because it sounds really wrong in french, and i know it because I AM FRENCH. i will not explain during hours all the exceptions, subtilities etc...

    "Le déclin des royaumes de Macédoine correspondait à la montée de Rome"
    Or,
    "Montée de Macedon"
    http://www.worldlingo.com/ma/enwiki/...ent_of_Macedon
    the link you give is full of grammatical issues, non-sense, etc... can't be wrote by a native french user, many expressions means nothing: and that's not in my opinion, it's a fact. "Montée de Macedon" is perfectly ridiculous.

    Agree that this discussion is not gonna improve the mod in any way, instead post your feedback regarding your experience with the mod
    there is no discussion: i'm french, i talk french, i know what i say. i didn't think i would have to explain or justify, if an english says to me i use a bad word in english i believe him (sure i use wrong words in most of my posts), and i will not discuss it, for sure...
    sorry to lose my time and yours. i had good intention, but if your last word is "we don't care and we are not sure you say the true", i think the next time i could help, i will not.

    Well the things grew fat. Let's just say that in international sphere where the english speaking people are not actually english, nor french making titles people are actually french .. everything is possible. Shouldn't be that bad, right ?!

    I personally speak english with so much "esperanto" mix that...
