From what I've heard it suffers the regular Paradox mode. Needs a patch.

Logical paradoxes and giant dragons don't get on.
Another day, another day where Divine Wind hasn't appeared on Steam... great.
Regarding bugs, i've already heard of a large problem with the Call Ally feature. Anyone in an alliance can use it. Meaning that the allies you call call their allies... who call theirs, who call theirs... and then you're at war with half the world. Paradox have already confirmed only the original defender and warleaders should be able to use the Call feature.

It's not that anyone in an alliance can use it, it's that alliance leaders change fairly often and everytime a new nation is appointed leader they an use the call ally feature. Example if I declare war on Savoy who is allied with France, France assumes leadership, France calls their allies including Spain and then Spain assumes leadership then Spain call her allies and the cycle continues until the leadership doesn't chance. Another problem is nations can become allies just as easily while at war as when they're not at war and call them into their current wars, really making it easy to pile on.
So nothing there is actually broken, just needs to be tweaked so it's not as sensitive and easy which creates this snowball effect.
I guess the easy solution is to make alliance offers require peace.
I had something witty to say in my head but I forgot it.

Divine wind is great. At last annexing option is here.Graphics are improved. No more unwanted massages popping in scrren about other countries.Build screen is improved.New kingdom options for both europe and asia.
My only complaint is this %100 winning.I took provinces that have value up to %300 but i should only take %100.And if that is a precious province i only get two province from a long, bloody war.It was better in original eu3 where you could get more than %100.But it was changed in expansions.
Gah, Steam arn't releasing this until January. Paradox devs confirmed it.
I'd rather not risk compatabilty issues as I hear some people find the Gamersgate version works with Steam, others don't. Still, I really doubt i'll be buying any new Paradox games over Steam. (Though annoyingly I have both EU3 and Vicky2 on Steam...).

I have to say the cascading alliance thing is rather exciting, it really brings all of Europe into a war and it makes you think twice about declaring war on people.
Indeed i enjoy the cascading wars when i declare war i look over who it is i am going to fight and who they are linked with . It also makes me during a war work on diplomacy as the leader of a war so that i can try to bring fresh factions with fresh armies into a fight to force my position (or if i am really good at diplomacy salvage a war i am losing which is hard factions dont like to join a losing side lol )
All in all a good expansion but personally would wait to get it till it goes down in price i mean i personally payed more for devine wind than i did EU3 complete and HTTT combined but that is just IMHO it is definately a good expansion and if you dig EU3 then its definately a good compliment to the game![]()
It is also good that you do not directly enter a war when your allies declare one.
Anyone else had any issues with the gamersgate version? Mine seems to download and install fine but then refuses to launch, through the launcher or the actual application. Quite annoying.

Is this still worth it if you have no interest in playing China or Japan?
Sure, the new trade and improvement systems obviously benefit everyone and make paying attention to those areas much more rewarding. The call ally feature and the either intended or unintended cascading alliances has really upped the challenge and excitement found in Europe. The map is greatly improved upon from vanilla and the game itself is much more visually pleasing. I have no real interest in Japan or China and I'm enjoying Divine Wind a lot.
