Need Technical Help

Im using steam. I installed into my steam folder (like when i beta tested, worked fine) but now when i start it up, i here a *ding* noise, and my computer freezes at thwe loading screen of Roma Surrectum. here is the error report: File dosent exist: data/animations/SG 01 idle 01.cas

All help is very much needed!

but i have steam, so how does that make it work? i cant change the file

Make a new empty folder on your desktop.
Use RS 2's installer and install into that folder.
Once that is done cut and past all the files in that folder to your steam RTW folder.
That's it. It should work if you do that.

well i did that, but now when i try to start up the game, i only get the normal game not RS 2!

You did copy all the rs2 files over right?

You shouldn't copy the folder itself, just the files inside it.

Just beat hannibal (after a long 2 years)and was able to secure my empire so there was no rebellion, is that normal?

If the script is running correctly there will be a rebellion. It might take a couple of more years for you to get it. It's not set to a specific year.
