CTD loading Spartan savegame

Last night my campaign went fine, loaded fine and I played a bit.

Today, when I attempt to load my campaign, it CTD's.

Here is what changed in my campaign last night:

I captured the Macedonian capital and the city directly to the right of it

My King died and was replaced by a king of another family line. Also on this subject, the successors of a king gain the "Disinherited" trait when they become King

I am using Vista 64bit, Steam version with BI.

- What version of RTW do you use?

- Are you using steam or not?

- Install path

- Which launcher option have you used (exe, faction etc)

If you are reporting a game CTD please provide the additional details

- system specifications, CPU, graphics card

Intel Q9550 @2.83 GHz quad core, NVidia 9800 GT

- graphic options selected (way too many options)

1280x1024x32, everything on high, AA at x2, not using the bloom options

- ideally a compressed save game immediately prior to the CTD so we can attempt to debug

Well, I can't even load the save. It's certainly corrupted.

What have you done with Autosave?

I have auto-save turned on but saving to a different file which is also corrupted.

The only other thing you could try is to delete the map.rwm files before loading the campaign.

However, the problem is that autosave does corrupt games. Not just saves but games - so if you save them manually they are also corrupt.

If the deletion of the map.rwm files does not work then the only thing that you can do is make sure autosave is off, don't use quicksave and start a new campaign.
