    Default Problem with Steam

So I need help apple or anybody else, I have windows 7 and steam.

these are the steps that i understood to do with steam and win7 :

    for example:
at first I made a new folder, I called it RSII on my desktop.
2nd Step is to install the game into it.
So and then I have to paste the new RSII folder where the files are in to my : C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\rome total war gold
    folder ?

    so its called
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\rome total war gold\RSII

and then? I made it with -mod:rome blabla, but when I startet the game with the launcher, it tells me that I made something wrong..that I didn't install the game to the correct Steam path

    help fast pls..

My understanding with Steam is that you set the options you want on the launcher and then launch the game through Steam.

I think the mistake here is that you need to post the contents of the RSII folder into C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\rome total war gold and not the folder itself.

EDIT: When you say in step 2 that you've installed the game into RSII folder, I assume you mean the mod and not Rome Total War.
