    Default Source file not found

I am getting this error when downloading and installing the first file.

    Source file not found:
    C:Users/damo/Appdata/Local/Microsoft/Windows/Temporary Internet Files/Content.IE5/YI4YQ3JL/RS21.cab.
Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.

    Can anyone explain/help please?

I think you need to download all the files then hit the setup file. If you've done that then there should be no problem. Unfortunately mine just screwed up and I don't know why so I need to fix that.

Are they all in the same folder?

I followed the instructions and not put RTW in the C program files but after several attempts (more like hours) in downloading RSII..Im still getting "source file not found"...Then I tried it differently by downloading first RSII21.cab then 22 then 23 and then 24 that went well and when I tried to download the mis (i think thats whats its called) it said it again "source file not found"...Whats up with that?

I removed RTW and BI completely from my PC and will re-loaded again but before that happens I want to know what im doing wrong in downloading RSII....can anyone please help me and maybe post instructions step by step?

Which file are you trying to install and where did you get it?

If you're using the links that we created there are six files to download. Once they've all been downloaded you simply run the RSII_setup file and it will process the other five files and install the game for you.

It's all in the release notes: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=386559

Some people are experiencing problems with the game but I suspect it's a combination of

    1) the windows user account that they are using is not an administrator
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

    2) They've not turned off UAC (if they have Vista or 7).

There could be other reasons, of course.....

Having same problem here the install just doesn't seem to acknowledge RS21.cad! I'm also using XP. Could it be an XP problem? I have down loaded all the files required as instructed.

I've just downloaded the RS2.msi file from filefront so there is nothing wrong with that link.

I didn't try and install again though as my install of RSII is OK.

There is no such file as RS21.cad - there is a RS21.cab.

Make sure your folder options are se to show all file extensions. There has neen a problem where for some reason the RS2n.cab files have been named RS2n.cab.cab which will cause a failure.

The copying of the folder is really just for users of Windows Vista or 7. With that OS the folder c:\program files (x86) is 'protected' by the OS. The advice for Vista and 7 is to not install there and to disable UAC.

The advise can, probably, be ignored by people using XP.

OK, with the double extensions - that is a problem that some people have encountered.

I really don't know what is going wrong with your install. I have a laptop with XP on it and I will try and install there later on.

Well im going to try this one more time...I will delete all RS2cab (21cab to 24). I will re-install RS2 on c:\program file and see what happens. I didnt realize that c:\program files (X86) is Vista and 7
