CTD when bribing

i was gonna bribe a rebel army because of the 3 star general and it crashes

Post save game or don't bribe and train up your own generals.

If you post a (compressed) save game please state which options you've used at start up (exe etc).

Have you modded the game in any way?

I won't bribe or maybe it was a one time event because it went to standby mode?

Anyway i will try again and then edit this post with the save game if it happens again

I have a CTD too but its when I end turn.

It's not game breaking, but this does happen to me, too. Only when bribing family members, however.

OK, the only thing that I can see is that you have two generals with the same name:

If for some reason one of them had a trait increase due to the bribing then that could result in a CTD.

Apparently, if you don't have the background script running it's possible to generate a character with the same name. Have you been runinng the game without the script?

I didn't run it at the start because i forgot to activate it one time and then i did.

i had 2 crashes when trying to bribe some crathagian familly member in a situasion at which battle would be hopeless(just took theyre capital and i have little forces left....bribed him=crash,bribe again=crash)

Then I trhink you've found the consequences of not having the script running.

Please load a comp0ressed save game - we can't investigate the problem if there isn't one.

Upload it here on the forum.

When you post under the window you've typed in your message there is a button 'go advanced' - press that. In the new window that appears underneath is a button with 'manage attachments' - press that. This will get a pop-up window that allows you to select the file to upload.

well then you can also check another problem i have,thers a rebel army near rome,when i try attacking it the game freezes.(i use the last general and all units in city not inclueding other family members...maybe the problem is with the familly member i dunno,didnt try got a bit frustrated )

OK, fixed. You do realize that we suggest not using autosave as it's known to cause corrupt campaigns? Also quicksaves are out.

well i usually save manually,but my game had a CTD and the latest manual save was 20 turns ago....so umm...yeah
im playing as rome,top graphics and all that...activated the post marian troops and stuff...
