Launcher crashes

Hi,

I just wanted to first off say thanks to everybody, who worked on RSII - your dedication to the project is amazing.

And on a different note - I have just installed a fresh copy of RTW to C:\Games\Rome - Total War and patched it to 1.3 and then 1.5. I have then installed RSII to the same directory. The problem that I'm having is this:


..every time I would start the launcher.

I am using windows 7 32 bit.. and I am not using Steam

Some tips would be much appreciated!

Could you try to start it with vista or XP SP3 compatibility?

Thanks for the reply, sadly I have tried that already - all of the different XP and Vista modes, I have also enabled the Admin for it, but that doesn't help..

By the way, trying to start the game without using the launcher, causes the same error

Have you tried to do the compatibility directly on the game exe, and not the launcher exe?

Also, I'm not sure about one thing, is it when you open the launcher, or when you try to start a campaign.

I've just tried running the .exe in compatibility modes - both as admin and not - same thing. What happens is pretty much as soon as I double click the icon - either launcher or the actual game.exe, I get that error message. (takes a little longer for game.exe)The details of the error are:
