[solved] Crash on Startup

-I'm using Windows 7
-File Directory C:/Program Files (x86)/Activision/Rome-Total War
-Did a clean install of Rome Total War and Alexander
-Rome Total War is not patched just original while Alexander is version 1.9 and I'm not using Steam
-I clicked Rome as my faction, clicked dark bloom, and used high res units.
-Everything is fine launcher starts with some GTA message but I can eventually make it to the title screen and to the campaign.
-I pick hard difficulty for both and turn off follow enemy units. It then crashes while it's loading and says Rome Total War Alexander has stopped working.

Did I do something wrong in the installation process? Maybe I should patch Rome Total War?

yes you need to patch rome, and if you are using alex i think you need a patched BI installed aswell

Hey I finally got it to work after doing a clean install and patching everything to maximum. The mod is absolutely amazing. Thank you guys so much for putting your time into making it.
