I vote for Smolenske (really warrior state in medieval time), Galich-Volynia and Bohemia. Polotsk during 13 century was only shadow of it`s former power, Kiew was puppits state of golden Hord and it's princes only robbed and violeted travellers and merchants.
yeah, but the prinzipal/kingdom of Galich-Volynia later conquered the kievian area after the total destruction of the kievian rus in 1240. so kiev is a bit out of time.

I wish that they'd add the Old Prussians as a faction if the starting date allows it, otherwise, I'd be nice if they could be an emergent faction (delicious buffer state is delicious).
