First off, my thanks to the devs that have worked so hard on this great mod!

But I have two questions regarding the Steam installation:

    QUESTION 1
    First it says:

    Instructions for Steam Installation

To install Roma Surrectum II for Steam, the pathway must be:

For those with Windows Vista or Windows 7
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\rome total war gold
    OR
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\rome total war gold

The rest of the installation process is the same as the non-Steam version.
    and later it says:

First, make a folder on your desktop. Install RSII to that folder. Once that is done, drag or cut and past all the files in the folder to your C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\rome total war gold or whatever other version of RTW you may have.

For those who have Vista or Windows 7, the directory should be:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\rome total war gold or whatever other version of RTW you may have.

Isn't this a little bit contradicting. As I understand it, first it says that we should install RS II the usual way into the Rome Total War Gold directory, and then it says we need to install RS II in a folder first and then copy it into the RTW Gold directory. What is the correct way of doing it?

    QUESTION 2
If I want to play it with the Alex.exe, do I install RS II in the Alexendar directory as I did with RS 1.6a or do I just install it in the RTW Gold directory?

Any answers would be much appreciated.

    1) Yeah the last part was a last minute fix. Thanks for pointing that out. I will update the first part.

    2) No install it to you RTW/BI folder. I'm not 100% sure on how to get alex to work with steam. It's something we have to solve later one (from now on to the first patch).

Well just tested it, it installed like a dream and seems to be running perfectly quick question about this option in the installer screen

-ai Enables AI campaigns to be run
That sounds pretty important, are we missing anything by leaving this setting on default and not selecting this option please?

Car broke down, that's OK. Girlfriend is leaving me, that's OK. Only have $10 in my bank account, that's OK. Have no food in the fridge, that's OK. It's all OK, cause RS2 is out and I shall play into the night and to tomorrow. Then I have to fix my life.

    Roma...will....fall.

Oh this is just sweet. A historical moment for the dev team and all fans of RS!!! All I can say is that for me personally, this is the greatest, most splendid peace of modding I have ever seen/played. It takes a really empty game into an immersive experience. RTW always had potential, yet the RS team reached a new height in exploiting it's strenghts and numbing it's weaknesses. I can only hope I had even a minimal contribution to this amazing project.

    Congratulations, it is done.

Now, bask in it's awesomeness, friends!!!

No. That option is more or less only for developer as it replaces the player with an AI.
Basically the AI plays the game for you and you can only watch the strat map. It's good for campaign balancing testing.
