Unit Suggestions (pre version 4 - now redundant)

I never particularly cared for having things that have names that are just phonetic remixes of what they're based on. If it looks like a janissary, acts like a janissary, and sounds like a janissary, it's a janissary. It's like calling the Templars "Tehmplor" or somesuch. Basically, if Templars and Mamlukes can have their real names, then there's not significant benefit in having janissaries called yeni ceri or lycans called ly kan. Just my two cents worth of nitpicking.

As Torvus says Yeni Ceri is closer to the correct name, that is why it was chosen. And Ly Kans are not werewolves in the traditional sense of a man who changes back and to, so should not be named Lycans.

In your mind I am sure it does. But then we would have to change all the other unit names to fit in with the this pig-germanic, remember the dominio effect we discussed earlier this month.

I only say that because I know exactly how hard it is to make something approval-worthy. I dont doubt Agamemnon could and would create something worthy of approval, but it would take a great deal of effort, and it probably wouldnt involve coding, which is what editing the text files in question would technically be. Again, I know, because Ive been through it.

Edit: On the phonetics and whatnot, shouldnt really be an issue. Its fairly unimportant as I see it. There are bigger fish to fry and all that.
