    Default Active Window??

When trying to start a new Campaign game in either imperial_campaign_ or Italica_campaign I get an Active Window and game just stops? any ideas on what this problem is? I am also using the latest patch 1.4 and i also have "-nm" in my Res Bellicae desktop Icon?
I run Windows XP, if that helps? and screen below

EDIT: It seems to only happen when the game plays your custom movies?

I think the problem is the size of the videos you have added to game? you state that they are 320x240 but when you open with Windows player the movies are actually 640x240, so for example I resized the Julii_outro_320x240 to 320x240 and i got the Italian campaign game working now, ( I still cannot play movie in game, but it now works with the -nm entry)only problem is that I have to do this for all the movies!!
There must be another way to get around this problem?

    uhm seems very strange...
    try this.
in your Rome cd there is a folder named "extras" and there a folder called "redist" containing a .exe with some specific codecs
    try them ^^
    it's obviously a codec problem..

Ok I tried that and it installed Windows Media 9 etc...but the same problem is still there!, the only thing I can do to get the campaign games to work is resize all of your videos again to 320x240!!

I have SPQR 7.0, RS 2, Sparta: Total War, Rise of Persia and Battle of Asia and none of these mods and I have no problems with using these mods in RTW?

    Any other suggestions mate?

the only thing i can suggest is to erase the fmw folder (move it to your desktop) and see if the game works without the video in place
