Default Sertorius doesn't fall to assasination

Sertorius was a brilliant and charismatic leader who was able to unite the iberian tribes and some roman rebels and deserters behind him. He was allied to pontus and the cilician pirates. Spartacus was rampaging through italy and Sertorius had defeated several roman forces including some larger than his own. It was said he was on the verge of making a new roman republic in hispania with even a senate. He seemed to be succesful until he was killed by assasination. What are some outcomes that could have resulted from him surviving and leading his new republic?

I think the united Iberians would've shattered anyways even if he was still alive.

That fact is that Sertorius already lost even before his assassination, and the assassination just made the unavoidable ending came quicker (it was said that Sertorius himself was already lost his hope of struggle and prepared to surrender before the assassination).
