Jingle Bombs' Roman Reskin v1.0

Information:

I know that RSII's release is imminent (we hope ), but I thought it would be good to share this personal project of mine with the community.

In short, it's a full reskin of most of the post-marian Roman units, including the very early "caesarian" legions. They don't really compare to RSII's fantastic legions, but I personally find these a great improvement over the normal RS1.6 legions, whose skins, I felt, left alot to be desired, especially after having seen the Roman previews for RS2. These new skins I feel are much better, and although I can't quite put my finger on it, they seem to look a lot more "Roman", to me at least. Though you can be the judge of that:

Installation instructions:

Extract the files in this archive to your Roma Surrectum folder. e.g:

"C:\Program Files\Roma Surrectum"

Hit "yes" to override existing files.

It would be wise to first make a backup of the following folders, in case you want to reverse the changes if you decide you don't like the mod:

"...data\models_unit\textures\imperial"

"...data\models_unit\textures\ferres"

"...data\models_unit\textures\early"

Hope you enjoy the mod, and remember, I cannot be held responsible if this somehow destroys your installation. I've tested it extensively myself, but install at your own risk!

Yeah. Knocked them up over a bowl of spaghetti a couple of nights ago. It's nothing special really when you get down to it - I simply went through all the Roman textures adjusting colour and saturation values on the tunics, shields and armour until it looked like it does now.

Well, if you're like me and made a copy and renamed it "Roma Surrectum" it makes sense. It was only an example anyway - you can see by the contents of the archive where it needs to go.

I think this mod will be popular. Becouse, like Stainless Steel , many players are playing old versions of mod, so i think there will be a lot of people who will play RS I and this mod will be in every RS I players game. So just wounderful.

I cant see the pictures, says upgrade to pro bandwidth exceeded.
i tried right clicking but just shows the same image

I've got pictures to work this way (i use mozilla firefox). Right click picture, then copy picture address and then paste it to the browser address field (or open new tab and paste to this address field) and hit enter. I hope that this helped

Yeah, that should work. You can still view them on Photobucket itself. It's damn irritating, but It'll go away in a couple of days, when the bandwidth resets itself.
