    Default KotOR 3

The only two games I've ever played that have been better than TW games is Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 1 & 2.

I'm so addicted to these games, that it's sad when I complete one of them. "It's over!"

Now, in 2007 LucasArts and BioWare began on a sequel to those two games, and got half-way into it before it was cancelled due to LucasArts' financial problems.

Now, 3 years later, and 7 years after the best game ever was released, they come with the MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic. Representatives from BioWare say this game is KotOR 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8.

BUT THAT IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH!

Don't misunderstand me. TOR seems like a very good game. But it is not KotOR! We need another single player game to finish the saga.

I mean, come on, Revan disappeared into the unknown to find the True Sith after KotOR 1, the Exile disappeared into the unknown to find Revan. And that's supposed to be the end of it??
It has even been used as an excuse that Revan just died out there! Just to find an excuse! There are so many people out there, wanting to experience the final part of the KotOR saga, but it is not given to them.

I want to know how many people are with me in this

Comments and possible wrong things about my post are also welcome

I think they might eventually create a KotOR 3 to fill in that gap, unless they put time-travel in SWTOR. And since its Star Wars and reality means little, this might happen.

Think you can pretty much bet on that you will never see a KOTOR3.
Lucasart has already stated that The old republic will be the last star wars game that is done by a 3rd party developer.
And Lucasart neither has will or the skill to make a game like KOTOR3.

And Lucas didn't have the skill to make the prequels, yet they were made. I think if they see the prospect of making a quick buck, they might make it, regardless of quality.

That is why I fight for it

It I thought it would be made, there would be no need for that

Except KOTOR3 wouldn't be that big of a hit according to them.
A RPG aimed at a more mature audience goes against what they stand for.
If they will make a KOTOR3 it will be aimed entirely at kids and will probably not be a RPG.

    You make me cry

It is madness not to make a third game at this setting!

Im assuming Revan and the Exile are being held in hand to use as story arcs in TOR's maturity

possibly even expansion's, if they're gonna go the "LETS MILK THIS " route

KOTOR 3, needs to be done, hell i need it to be done! Atleast give us a remake of the second game were those parts that got cut out are back in the game again. TOR will probably be a great MMORPG, but it's still not KOTOR, i don't get to continue the story that ended so abruptly in the second game.

Well Lucasarts isn't known to be smart
But really, if you want a end to the story just:

    1. Go to wookiepedia and just read what happened to them
    2. Use a program like OpenRPG and simply create a RP story based on that, using the ruleset from KOTOR1 and play it with your friends.

I think that's about as close as you ever gonna get to a proper KOTOR3.

Bioware said that you will learn what happened to Revan. Also, some descendants of KOTOR characters will apparently make an appearance in TOR.

According to wikipedia "300 years after the events of the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic games and more than 3,500 years before the events in the Star Wars films."

I'd much rather play through the events of "kotor 3" then hearing about them.

well, Revan and the exile are two epic Jedis/siths so they might've learned the technique of living forever .

Anyways, I TOTALLY AGREE. Bioware is totally blueballing us with this SW:ToR, and since the last one basically was a Soprano's-style ending, we need resolution, we need closure, we need one last adventure. And with all this new game technology, they could make it better than ever both game-play wise and graphic-wise (although I thought the graphics for both KotOR and KotOR II were pretty good for their time).

I don't want to learn what happened after Revan left, I want to experience it. I
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
want to find out what happened to the Jedi after whatever the Exile did. I want to know if Revan ever found the true Sith. I want to know what the new threat to the Republic would be after the fall of the last Sith Triumvirate. I want to see what happened to Onderon and Telos. I want to feel the helplessness of a potential returning Sith threat or I want to feel immensley powerful as I join Revan and lead our forces to greater glory against the Republic and any remains of the Jedi order!

SO many unanswered questions, so many possibilities. With the experience gained with ME and ME2, I'm sure Bioware could pull off something spectacular that could easily be THE greatest game of all time, in both story and game play

Bioware: heed our pleas! Don't abandon us, give us hope!

In my eyes, the setting for the game is so clear that there is no work to do on that.

You play as the Exile, travel to the Unknown Space, search for Revan, find some strange stuff, at last find Revan, and at last, you can have both in your party, and they can battle the True Sith together. At the end, you return to the republic and meet Bastila, Carth and the others again

Why would lucas arts not want star wars games to be made anymore by third party developers? Raven Software, Obsidian and Bioware created far more succesfull star wars games than all their own star wars games combined.

the old republic is nice, but not great. A KOTOR3 could have been done on the Mass Effect 2 (or 3) engine. That would have done the franchise more justice.

With thousands of players around, you can bet on it that all plottwists will be spoiled to you before getting to it.
