Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

    Name: William Olson

    Age: 33

Date of Birth: February 11, 1764

Children: Jonathan, Age 7; Marie, Age 3

    Ethnicity: Norwegian

    Home State: Wilmington, Delaware

    Occupation: Lawyer

    Political Party: Independent

Religious Views: Lutheran, but doesn't go to church

Biography: I was born to Norwegian parents in Wilmington, Delaware. When I was 12 I was sent to Boarding School in England where I stayed with my Aunt Margaret in London. I became a lawyer in 1787. In England I met my wife Victoria. After we married we moved to Wilmington to buy a large house. We have two children, Jonathan and Marie. I was elected into the Senate in 1794 at the age of 30. I am currently serving my third year in the Senate.

Taxation: Low, the more money the common man can hold in their pockets the better our economy is

Military: We should always keep a standing army for defense and expansion.

The Economy and Trade: International trade is the basis of a democratic country. We should always look to further out trade agreements anyway we can. The Economy should be based off Capitalist ideas of free market.

Foreign Policy: The US should act as the Lion of America defending its people from Imperialistic Europeans.

Immigration: Illegal Immigrants are exactly what they are called... illegal. America is a melting pot of immigrants so why should we prosecute those who are similar to our forefathers?

    National Bank: No just no...

Slavery: I am a strong supporter of Slavery. I see nothing wrong with it. Slave helps our trade system and increases our workforce. Who cares anyway? Negros are animalistic savages. I own 60 slaves currently.

I'm in the house of rep(s).

there can be no power greater anywhere beneath the sun,
yet what force on earth is weaker than the feeble strength of one?
but the union makes us strong.

It's because people have more say in the senate (and the word "senate" sounds cooler than "house").

Yea, I need more Reps than Senators - the Reps are actually more important than the Senate, since they're the ones who have to actually write up and pass legislation. Senators, meanwhile, would actually have to wait for those bills to pass in the House. (also they have to confirm appointments & treaties with foreign NPC powers, but that's not still not as important )

Seriously you guys, if none of you want to be the token racist white supremacist fat guy, then I'll do it....I'm fully qualified! I'm Asian after all ok!
Well MMM is already playing the jerkass Southern slaveowner, but by all means do join, the more players the better and the game could use another Southern slaveowner or New England Federalist type - I'd say we have too many moderates. We at least need another protectionist, there's like maybe one protectionist character right now (and this is a time where protectionism was BIG in New England at least, as most merchants were afraid that they'd go out of business if the American market was flooded by cheaper foreign goods) lol.

Also, we have cookies. The good homemade kind too

Iight, I'll be a rep. Will you role play other people in our party? Not specifically but as a "mass" in congress.

And look what happened, now that we aren't protectionist and we are buying cheap foreign-made crap!

Erm, we can't really compare the two.

It is the American people's choice of what they want to buy. The only reasons foreign made goods succeed here is because they are cheaper. That is the American people's choice, not business or the government's. If the people want higher quality items, then they buy them, and business adjusts itself to the flow of funds towards high quality items, be they American or otherwise.

    Example of ignorance.

Yes, though all the actual decision-making will rest with you players - I'll just RP the NPC party members going along with you once you've reached a decision, or at most bringing up arguments so you can't just pass legislation unchallenged in one page

However, do note that you won't be able to overcome another party's majority in one of the Houses even if they're made up entirely of NPCs. (ex. Federalists have 3 players & 12 NPCs in the Senate, Democratic-Republicans have only 16 NPCs and no players in the Senate - the Feds still won't be able to block DR legislation from the House in the Senate)

So will there be Whigs in the senate even though both of us are in HoR?

Yes, though since you don't actually have any Senator players you shouldn't expect a majority there.

Anyway, I'd say that right now we've struck a nice enough balance between Senators & Reps

OOC: Anyhow, I'm not ignorant, but I honestly think that the eco. would be solved if we could just become protectionist. But, this belongs in the D&D, so I won't press it.

I honestly think that a bunch of the people in the US wouldn't be able to live if we became protectionist.
