    Siege of Almeida 1810 - 2010, weekend re-enactment, thurs 26th August to
    sunday 29th August

    Today marks the 200th anniversary of the Siege of Almeida that ended so dramatically
    in August 1810. As forum members know Wellington has been busy constructing the
    Lines of Torres Vedras that will hopefully stop Massena's invading french army on the
    Lisbon Peninsular.
    For the latest news on the event currently being re-enacted in Almeida, Portugal.

    Very nice photo of the French and Portuguese on the bridge. I saw some re-enacters at Kennesaw Mountain doing Civil War stuff a couple of years ago. Those muskets all firing at once make quite the sound.
